Help me make a list of knives with axis/arc/ball bearing locks

Wouldn't it be a more realistic goal to list all the companies/makers that make knives with ball bearing locks?

I don't know, not all of a company's knives have the same features. Axis lock belongs to Benchmade, but not all of their knives have it.

Here's the sage 3, which has a bolt action lock. Looks like the same thing as Axis Lock to me. Do any Spides besides the Sage 3 have this lock?

I see the joke Dorito, but, since axis lock is trademarked, not all of the Chinese knock-offs with axis lock show up in a google search. I thought people here would have more info, and I was right (except in Dorito's) case.

And anyway, I thought this was a forum for people who liked to talk about knives, so why not ask the question?

Sure, but some people probably don't appreciate being made into your personal "googler". ;)

The Bolt Action lock on the Sage 3 was a special production as a tribute to the creator of numerous locks/materials, and major innovator in the knife community, Blackie Collins. You'd probably have to look at some of Meyerco's offerings or a custom by Mr. Collins to find another like it.

The only people who would google it would be people who didn't know. I am asking for those that know of knives like this to help me with a list.

So... You should only use google if you don't know something, and want to find out?

I'm pretty sure that describes your situation precisely. So, on with it, get googling! ;)

Seems to me that you are one of the ones who don't know. Following your logic, you should be googling already.

Me: Hey! Let's talk about knives! Know any that have axis locks?
You: Go google it.

You may try to claim some sort of internetty moral high ground if you wish, but I'd rather talk about knives.

I have this knife, and although it has an axis lock, I don't think it is as smooth as my Benchmade:

I'm confused, did you want to make a list or did you want to talk?

A good start would be a pic of your benchmade.

Why are you giving him a hard time for asking a legitimate question? Because he is asking a question that isn't asked 10 times a week?

How is Google going to help when there are variations that aren't called an AXIS lock and he might not know the name of them? Funny how your link doesn't actually go to a list or an actual Google search that has a bunch of knives that meets the criteria. It just goes to Google. If it was so easy why not link to a relevant Google search? One that doesn't just show Benchmade knives.

Why ask any questions on Bladeforums? Spark could just have a link to Google and everyone can search instead of asking questions about knives. That's just ridiculous.

+1 I think some may benefit from some Alprazolam and or Temazepam here. Some people may have to Google those though. :)

One thing I learned in this thread is that Benchmade is not the only company that uses the Axis lock. I really didn't know that.

What I was giving him a ribbing over was "Hey guys does enlan make any more axis lock knives?". Well gee, why not just check www.enlanknives.com and look at their products if you want to know? Why do you want someone else to look it up for you? Or type 'Ganzo Knife', 'Navy Knife', 'Bee Knife', etc. into an ebay search and see the entire catalogue for yourself? It's easy stuff to find out about for yourself, which is all I was getting at in the first place.

...but then everyone got all offended and stopped paying attention... "Stop trying to claim an internett moral high ground!", "Go take some drugs!".  I don't see why some of you are getting so rectum-wrecked over this.

If you're just compiling a list, don't forget REKAT's Rolling lock.
Hey, someone that wants to talk about knives! Cool. I have never heard of REKAT.
Looks like the switch on a switch blade instead of a lock. There's one one ebay for 300.

I have a Carnivore and a Carnivore Cub. Both great, solid knives. My Carnivore is my only combo edge knife and has been sharpened so many times in the nearly 15 years I've owned it, it's just about a plain edge. The Rolling lock is what turned me on to the axis locks. The Sifu had really mixed reviews and REKAT didn't really handle the customer service all that well. Actually it signaled the end for them. That's just my opinion and I'm sure there's more to the story.

Dorito you're a cumdrinking poopface. There's no way around it. I actually found this forum thread because I was googling the same question. With the same problem re Google terms. You must be angry that mommy never loved you and daddy gave you a small terrible peepee.

This forum is created for efficient and organized transfer of information. A less knowing person asked a group of more knowing people for information they have already learned in order to reach a more informed answer is less time so he could go outside and enjoy life with the extra moments. You shat on the exact purpose of his site, every mentorship found in the word, and the enjoyment of my Friday in general. You are truely a blue waffle. If you don't know what that is google it.

Yep, let's bump a 3.5 year old thread to hurl junior high level insults at people we don't even know...
