Help me pick a knife

This one was with me briefly, before the kittens picked its new owner:

I heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a good ol' jackknife. As noted elsewhere, one of its strengths is its relatively substantial secondary pen blade. There's a lot of knife here.

Given the preponderance of recommendations here for the same, if you (the OP) find yourself still thinking, "Yeah, but I'd rather have _______," there ya go. :)

And the winner is......... TEXAS JACK !!

You guys weren't kidding, this is a sweet knife. I'll get some pictures up in the morning. That pen blade is really something. With a secondary blade that beefy, you almost don't need the main blade. I also love the smooth pull on both blades, as most of my knives have half stops. No wobble, good snap, even grinds. Yup, you guys pointed me toward a winner. Thanks.

I think you'll really enjoy it in the long run. While I routed for the 303, My first Case knife was a a Texas Jack gifted to me by my Uncle an it's a grand pattern as far as I'm concerned. Also the CV is a real treat as well and will take a nice earthy patina. Be sure an post up some pics.

I really like the scale on the shield side. The other side isn't so well matched, and kinda has that almost leopard pattern look that I don't really care for. That said, its still going to make for a great everyday knife.
