Help me pick a single blade folding knife.

Benchmade mini grip. Sweet little blade, tough, affordable, and has the AXIS lock which is very user friendly.

The Kershaw Skyline is really easy to carry and you can get them cheap, usually around $30 shipped on the 'bay.

Mini Grip can be gotten in many different colors to your liking and its an amazing cheap EDC

This one in addition to the excellant choices above.

Thanks guys.

The Benchmade mini looks great, it is definitely at the top of my list. The Spiderco Delica is also very nice. The Kershaw OD-1 looks like a fantastic knife, but a little too big. Also, I should have mentioned that I wanted a one handed opener, sorry.

What can you tell me adout the following?

SOG Flash I, SOGWinder, Kershaw Scallion, Kershaw Zing, and the Spiderco DragonFly.

Heard a lot of good things about the Flash 1. It's incredibly light as well if thats what you like.

Spyderco Centofante3 is under $60,
also Scorpius with SS handle will fit your needs.
Both have Vg10 steel, which is very good.

I have a zing, and I absolutely love the thing. Firm lockup, perfect size for my needs (not too big, not too small), flips open fast, you can adjust the clip to 1 of 3 positions depending on how you want to carry it. Mine was shaving sharp out of the box. I carry it as a duty knife and have so far had no issues with it. Lifetime warranty (including sharpening) is just the icing on the cake. There are several threads about it in the Kershaw forum and there are several pictures of it there too.

Good luck!

Wow, I really like the Leek with composite blade. I think right now it is between a Kershaw leek and a Benchmade Mini Grip.

Is there a scallion availible with a harder blade?

All Scallions with the exception of the Damascus version
are made with 420HC. The CB Leek would be an excellent
choice. The CPM-D2 is a great steel.

Is Damascus steel a good steel, or just pretty?

It can be both but can be just pretty. As the term is currently used in knives today, "Damascus" only means that different alloys have been layered together. It doesn't say which ones. Damascus will not outperform non-damascus alloys but it may have equal performance.

I have a BUCK slimline Prince. Lockback, hardly noticeable in a pair of jeans. I love it.

on the flash one if you put minimal pressure on the blade it moves. its not a wobble its just the lock tightening. but if thats a pet peeve you should know about it

Hello all. I would like to get your input and advice to help me choose a new knife. Any advice or suggestions will me most appreciated.

As of right now, I usually carry my Victorinox SwissTool RS with me whenever I go anywhere. It is very useful at work, which is why I bought it, but it is rather heavy, and I don't really need all those tools when I'm just out and about on a regular day. I would like to carry a simple folding knife instead.

I'm not a "knife guy" (yet), so I don't really know much about different types of steels, or which brands to look for, so I'll just make a list of what features I'm looking for and hope for the best.

Here is what I'm looking for.
-Around $75 or less.
-Blade length around 3 inches or smaller.
-Closed length under 4 inches.
-Sturdy and rugged design, that can be used every day, in many different circumstances.
-A tough blade that I wont need to sharpen too often.
-Relatively slim, but not dainty.
-I think I'd like something with a metal handle (Titanium or Aluminum maybe), but it's not absolutely necessary.
-A sleek look. Something that looks modern and "cool", without looking too silly or abstract. However, not too bland either.

Also, can anyone recommend some sites where I can browse and compare, and maybe buy from?

Thanks for your help!

Edited size parameters. 4 inches closed is just too big.
You want too much.

As others have mentioned before me, both Fallkniven U2 and Benchmade Minigrip are great knives. I have them both, they are good and comfortable for everyday carry.

What can you tell me adout the following?
