Help me pick my 1st sebenza

I'm sure you'll enjoy your choice.

Just remember that the fact you've choose a plain version, doesn't mean it must remain "plain"... you still can drill it, sand it, filework it, color it, engrave it, and so on... making it a thrully custom one.

Post some pics when you get it ...

Regards.

I would love to see some pictures of customized sebenzas...any links?

scratch-finish by Juergen Schanz and the blade by Andy Haas.
The blade material is the Eurofighter-damascus from Markus Balbach.

Looks awesome. I would love to know how this was done.

Cheers,
-Darryl

Very nice...love the blade. Does anyone use damascus blades? They look so good I'm not sure I would wand to.

A guy in Canada posted recently about anodizing for people, this is his work:

BTW mine is lost in route somewhere...I'm going crazy waiting. I ordered it last Fri. ...Dealer sent it priority mail...should have been here days ago.

The sebenza is in the house...came Sat. It's all I hoped for...small in the pocket, big in the hand. The grip is perfect. What a great EDC knife. Now to pick out her big brother!

Firstly sorry for OT, but I will not make new thread. I have question for owners of sebbie. How wide is one plate of sebenzas handle for small and large sebenza? Thanks JJ

Think about going with a plain Sebenza to start off with. There is beauty in the simplicity of the plain Sebenza. Then graduate to an etched or an inlay. FWIW.

I EDC the small and have both a "plain" regular and an inlaid classic. Frankly, I find I EDC the plain more than the inlay. It is fractionally thinner and, like Lycosa, I really like the elegant simplicity of the original design.

I often EDC a large Classic with Micarta inlays and double thumb lugs - - - It has a "down to business" look & feel to it that I like. Reminds me of an F-16 fighter plane :)

Why does every Sebenza pic that is an EDC show a pristine and unscuffed lanyard?
Doesn't matter if on the clip or my pocket, the lanyard gets sruffy looking and i end
up changing mine every 2 or 3 months.

I use blaze orange cord in the winter - easier to find if i drop it.
