I currently EDC one of my 4 "good" knives (I have a bunch of junk ones too that I don't really use).
While I'm sure all of US could agree that they are rather timid, each of them has at least one quality about it that could be construed as "aggresive".
CRKT M16-10Z (black, non-reflective coating, tanto, partially serrated)
CRKT Koji Hara Ichi (assisted opening)
Kershaw Rainbow Leek (assisted opening)
Spyderco S (spiderweb design)
Now I don't want to be accused of pandering to the sheeple. But basically what I'm looking for is a knife that nobody could ever feel intimidated by. I want to be able to carry this to the office, basically ANYWHERE (except where prohibited of course) and not have to worry about anybody having a problem with it.
The CRKT Ichi almost fits the bill, but I worry about carrying any of my assisted openers around for fear of uninformed police.
That being said, I am not looking for a SAK or slipjoint, so please do not recommend any. Budget is around $50 or so, but I could spend up to $75 for something I really like.
I'm thinking probably around a 2" blade. I like the looks of the Spyderco Cricket and Spin, but both of their blade shapes worry me a little.
Please do not discuss whether the sheeple are right or wrong, or whether we are right to call them sheeple. I do not want this to turn into an argument about rights and laws, just think of it as a challenge to pick out the perfect knife for this particular situation.
