Help me pick out the most bad ass FULL TI folder!

Since you mentioned 3v, I thought about Jerermy Robertson of Calavara Cutlery. He makes really nice frame locks. I think he's using PD1 in his heavy users now instead of 3V.

They aren't easy to find, but the Cutters Knife and Tool Brend folders are big beasts and full TI - with that sexy Brend recurve grind....and the Confederate Flag logo on the blade.

This picture is with an AGR Acies, a Ti Military - the spots on the Brend were dirt on the lens....

Everything that's already mentioned plus :

Diaware v4 or s90
Les George talos
Curtis F3
ZT 888
And the up and coming 606 RJM and 999
Or a Chris Reeves Sebenza H ( saw one recently on a YouTube video, that thing looks like it's thicker than a Hinderer!)

Direware without a doubt. V3 or V4 or Hyper-90 (they are the thickest) if you want super thick/stout. Probably the fattest knives out there

It seems like that's what you really want, so then why don't you get one:confused:

Why settle for something that cuts like a wet towel? There definately isn't a lack of poorly finished folding bricks on the market. It should be easy to find one after you score that Hinderer you want:thumbup:

Don't let comments like this deter you.

I have found very little difference in the cutting ability of Medford vs Hinderer, and I don't know what you actually do with a knife or what your expectations are.

I can tell you that if you want a "big Ti frame lock" Medford is a great way to go.

They cut up cardboard well, but they are never going to be, nor where they designed to be laser slicers.

Comes down to what you cut, pry, chop, etc....

Ok I'm going to be that guy that suggests a knife that doesn't really meet your original criteria. I only skimmed your post, however when you think about it kinda does. $700ish -- check. Full Ti scales -- check. Overbuilt thickness and take down a tree or go through a car door -- check. Badass is in the eye of the beholder but -- check.

Get this.

And then with what's left over get this

:D
Grabbed your photos Whitty. Hope up don't mind.

Well this one is pretty BAD. Ti frame, big M4 blade, what more could you ask for. I also kind of like the Benchamde 761.

Sorry, but I have a different opinion on folding-bricks. Is that ok?

You may have already seen my stuff, but in case you hadn't, I'm making full Ti folders out of ZT 0562's and working on other models too...
It makes for a very fun to carry knife.

Yup, pretty sure internet forums are for opinions and other such messages. :)

In my case, I'm relaying actual Medford knife experience through multiple month EDC and use. Quite frankly I'm considerably more impressed, all factors considered, with my Medford Viper than any other folder I own or have owned, and while I'm sure I'm a piker compared to many here, I've had and currently have some fairly nice knives, including Hinderers, CRKs, a Rockstead Shin, Emersons (including handmade customs), Brous Blades, and many other very decent productions.

Does that make me an expert? I don't know I'd claim that, but at least I do have the first hand experience to confidently recommend certain Medford models, rather than making a gratuitous assertion to the contrary. Not trying to be snippy with you Blues, and I'm throwing this line in because I've failed in the past to accurately convey my tone in type.

That sums up what my reply would have been nicely.....

It's nice to be open minded to other peoples needs/wants as opposed to always trying to push your views on them.

Everyone is entitled to thier opinion, but when the opinion lacks merit or substance, or any kind of framework it becomes really baseless and rather useless. It becomes a jab, and not an "opinion"

It helps nobody.
