Help me spend a crapload of money

So I'm leaning toward the ivory non Damascus since it's $280 less than the Damascus, this way if I don't like the ivory, I won't feel as bad. My other option is a small ebony ladder Damascus for not much more $$$

What did you expect? People here know there stuff, if it's illegal to own how can they tell you to buy it?

Thanks for the backup!

Eric, even if you're willing to break the law, you expose the seller to committing a crime too! Apparently maybe even a FELONY in NJ! Not cool. :thumbdn:

Sorry, but that's the way it is. Move if you don't like the draconian laws.

I guess I would have to ship to a usps pickup location outside of the communist states and take a ride :)

I'd go with the Damascus and the flag.
Very nice combination.

PS: You'll never know if exotic woods will be banned too.

The small ivory damascus, IMO, would be a great addition to your collection.

I had this stunning beauty for a while, but didn't keep it. As beautiful as damascus is, I couldn't get over the feeling of the detent ball rubbing over the damascus blade. One of my favorite aspects of a CRK is the smoothness of the pivot action, and my Small Micarta 21 was so much smoother that I just didn't enjoy the Damascus Bark 21 like I wanted to.

^^^ That one passed through here, I miss it too.

......

That's fairly common with woods CRK has used in the past. For example, Honduran Rosewood was added to the CITES Treaty list. CRK will most likely never touch it again. Now worth the hassle when there are so many beautiful and unrestricted woods available.

I'm in NJ and lined in NYC for 40 years. I am an obsessive pool player for my whole life. Have been collecting custom cues for years.......every single custom cue maker has, uses and sells cues with ivory inlays. My cue maker is a detective. He gets sheets of it all the time.......I think through a museum. They have records stating the ivory has been imported many years before the law went into effect........don't quote me, but I know my friend would not jeopardize his job and freedom.......and he's been in LE for over 30 years.

Eric.......if you want the ivory, I know I'd choose it, get it!

There's a few Zerofeud spinners and some other spinners. Probably the only thing harder to get than a reasonably priced mammoth bark sebbie.

Oh just do it already. I was looking for that 1 and ended up buying both :)
If it will make you happy, you can't lose

Yeah, just gotta figure out which one to buy. I haven't purchased a CRK in about, oh, 13 or 14 years... But the 25 looks right up my alley.

If your set on raindrop make sure to find the old (tighter) pattern. The new DT raindrop blows and it's also much harder to sell.
