Help me spend some money please.

I'm an EMT and I have a triage, I highly recommend it. Cutter zips through anything clothing and seatbelts. I also put a different tip profile on it with a grinder sort of like a reverse tango. Now it can pierce.

That's bad ass. Would love to see it.

Thanks, it was quite easy, just took a little off at a time and the steel on this knife was very easy to work with. I did it cause I'll b honest been a EMT as a 911 unit for 11 yrs and have never pulled a blade no where near a patient nor would it b accepted. So that's the motive.

Dallas T - that really is nice work...5-6 of my fixed blades would be even cooler with a bit of grind re-profiling....I'm packaging them up now to send to you....what's your shipping address bro?!

I am by no means a pro but if u would like me to I will. Just tell me how to send u my address privately, I'm fairly new to actually participating here other than just reading.

Sounds like you need some Benchmade, Kershaw, Zero Tolerance and maybe some more Spyderco in the lineup. I'm not sure exactly what models hit your hot points, but they are my favorite brands, and I just keep buying everything that interests me. Sure they come one at a time as budget allows, but I've been pretty impressed with just about everything I buy. Most manufacturer's websites have pretty good specifications to help you narrow down the features most interested in.

So far, I'm spending pretty much all disposible income on ZT and Spyderco. The are both quality, but so different in feature and design. Most days I have one of each in pockets.

I'll toss out one suggestion to totally confuse the issue. If you want a good heavy duty knife, look at the HK Axis folder. It's a Benchmade in every respect but name--Axis lock, thick 3.7" long D2 steel blade, black coated blade, G10 grips, open construction, about 5 ounces. Available in modified clip or tanto point, plain edge or partially serrated.

Mine was a little gritty on arrival but washing out the pivot and lock with hot soapy water made it clean and as smooth as any of my other Benchmades. D2 is a little tough to sharpen but it's strong stuff. The best part is that it's available for around $100.

Enzo Birk 75 in S30V FFG. A thing of beauty!
ZT 0350 blackwash version. Feels sturdy as hell.
