Help picking my first emerson

Anyway, I love this knife. I put a drop of blue lube on each side of the pivot. It prolly didn't need it but it is so smooth now. Fits my hand like a glove. Love the grinds, and the slight recurve. It is super sharp from emerson. Very kool.

I had to update my iPad and now I can't put up pictures, darn Shame.

That's a nice looking knife. Glad to hear it came super sharp. I went with the Journeyman, and it ended up being a lot bigger than I prefer to carry, and the edge was pretty thick. That's on it's way back to the dealer, and I'm already trying to figure out the next one. Admittedly, you and OM are kinda pushing me to the 15.

You will definitely want the Mini version.
 
The mini 15 is an awesome little knife.

Although I have owned both the large 15 & the mini at different times, I much prefer the smaller 15 myself.

Just took the dive (again) and am going to give the mini-15 a try. Maybe this Emerson will stick. I've been reading the fit/finish has been much better in the 2014 models and really like the looks of the standoffs. If I like this one, I'll have to see what's next.. maybe a hint to the wife for my birthday.

WRONG!

Went to buy a Vindicator today and the CQC 15 won that argument. Got #2416, and my CQC8 is #2316.

Newest 15 owner on here - unless someone else got one today :D

ETA: I ordered a mini 15 today, but won't have it for a few days.
 
haven't received the email yet. I'm looking for the regular cqc-15, I fear the handle ergos of the mini may be too small for my hand.

I have a CQC-7A with stand-offs, and a Micro Commander with the backspacer. After disassembling both, I like the stand-offs a LOT better than the backspacer. The stand-offs allow you to just take the pivot screw side off, and wipe it down completely. My next Emerson will be a Mini CQC-15. Then, I gotta quit buying for a while...(yeah, that's the ticket).
