Hello,

I am quite new to traditional folders (I only own a Schatt & Morgan File & Wire Toothpick and a Queen Cutlery Swing Guard Lockback, that's it...) and recently have discovered GEC.

I am waiting to receive a mod. 72 Wharncliffe Lockback with an Antique Walnut Jig Bone handle I recently purchased and I am very excited about it.

However, to tell you the honest truth, I REALLY wanted the same mod. 72 but with Ebony Wood handles (full description: Northfield UN-X-LD, 720110 LB, 3 7/8 ", Wharncliffe Lockback, Ebony Wood, 1095 Carbon Steel, released November 9, 2010).
I looked for it left and right, and it seems it can't be found anywhere at the moment.

But at the end, I am a "newbie" re. traditional folders and maybe I am missing something. Does anyone know where I could find one please?

All help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Welcome to traditionals. You'll like it here. You might want to post a "WTB" in the exchange. - Ed

go to great eastern main site , there is a list of distributors.call each one sometimes a dealer has a model that's not listed in his inventory. that is a great knife for your pocket in the city or field.--dennis

That's a great knife. I really like the style of it. When I was looking at them I liked the ebony the most, just as I imagine you do also. If I can find one I'll send you a PM.

I would appreciate that a LOT. Thanks Glocktenman, keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks!

Hey 681,
I've looked and looked and I'll be darn if I can find one in the ebony. I know I saw one about a month ago somewhere on the internet but no joy this week. Good luck finding one.
