Help, shoulder bag question

For the price of 55 bucks and 1800 cubic inches of space and dual water bottle pockets you can't beat the REI traverse pack. It has additional lashing points too, that will go as far as your imagination does.

I was wondering if you guys could help me find a shoulder bag that can carry my psk, some knives, poncho, canteen, 15'' khukuri and other items.

I checked out the ones @ maxpedition but I found them to be a little smaller then what I need.

Any suggestions?

bag reviews welcome :D:D

i've had one for over ten years of regular daily use and it's still going strong - they're built to last and they're waterproof.

:thumbup::thumbup: to that. I've settled on it as my favorite pack. Carry it several times per week.

You'd probably like the Frost River line of bags. . . More pricey than the one you chose, but very nice. http://www.frostriver.com/

I'm going to have to look into the Maxpedition stuff myself. I'm searching for my first handgun and I'm probably going to go with something that's going to be too big conceal easily on my person. The Jumbo Versipacks look like they'll fit the bill nicely with a concealed carry pocket, Nalgene holder and plenty of space for all the other gear I might need on a daily basis.

Yea I already browsed frost river, but it's a little over my budget. And I was a little uncertain on purchasing from them due to the lack of actual images of the item.:jerkit:

you guys been helpful thanks!

I've always been a big fan of the mountainsmith lumbar bags. They can be worn as either a shoulder bag or with the waist-belt. When I'm bumbing around the woods I usually use the shoulder strap & waist-belt for the weight; that way if I need to access the bag quick just unclip the belt and now it has all the convenience of a shoulder bag. It also has lashing points to attach extra gear.
I would the two that I would suggest are the tour w/ 488 cu in. of space http://www.mountainsmith.com/products.asp?productId=28&categoryId=4&subCategoryId=3&subCategory2Id=0
and the day with 854 cu in.
