Help: SOG vs BusseCombat

leatherman,

inquiring minds want to know, have to know, must know:

Please test the carbon Tigershark on the Toyota hood....

Cheers,

Carl

p.s. I don't think you'll hurt it anymore than I did mine, the day I tried chopping a granite rock.....

Carl,
Use your own carbon TS...;) :D

... granite??? That's it, send it back to me!!!:grumpy: ;)

The carbon steel Tiger Shark. My one and only remaining SOG. An excellent knife for the money and its day.

Speaking of sticking Busses into something... send me an e-mail with your contact info again... there's a certain SH that still needs a leather jacket...

BTW what did the Toyota ever do to you?
Will do bro, I thought about that project the other day and wondered if it ever got done. :D

That toyota cost me 300 of my knife dollars:grumpy:

Uhm, yea, what Bobby said:p You can send me your user though! ;) I'd be happy to test it. :)

Hey David! good choice for a keeper, the satin finish is great huh.

Dwayne,

The satin finish isn’t as satiny as it once was: during the early 90s I alternated between my Chris Reeve Shadow 7” and the Tiger Shark, and it got a lot of use. Then I got my Richmond Ek Model 5, and the Tiger Shark slipped out of the rotation.

Got to love that Tiger Shark blade profile.

David

Hey BobbyB,

I told you the Tigershark granite story..... I've pretty much almost got all the dents out of the edge.... almost.

It's still plenty serviceable, so I'll have to keep it a bit longer..... there's still a few rocks out there needing attention.

Cheers,

Carl

As I quipped earlier. It is likely that the Busse is better made, but I wouldn't take either a Bently or a Busse to Lagos. Gotta work and work well, gotta be able to afford replacing it. I am hoping to get a Busse some time soon but it is going no where near Lagos, that is a sin.
I'm not sure what Lagos is, but your Busse can handle it. Take a look at the warratee on the Busse website. Go to the Busse forum and read the stories. Busses can take a pounding, no question about it. Buy one and use it hard, I know you'll be amazed.

Busse is great, on my wish list, but I would have to have it mailed into Botswana. Sog I can get off the shelf in South Africa. Lagos is the main Port City of Nigeria,15m people in cramped poverty. Theft is rife and whilst I would be tempted into using a Busse and cutting off Lagos and setting it off to sea it would have changed hands several times before I turned around twice. I would like to have a Busse for travel in the Botswana Bush.
