as my final advice, i'd like to offer the following, it will improve the length and quality of your life immensely:

You are not being a " Debbie Downer "The reason I commented on your post is that it fit me to a T . I will be 50 in 2 months and am enjoying a sedentary(sedimentary might better describe me !) lifestyle due to changes in my workplace . I have a pretty good spirit and can overcome most obstacles .

I am also going to take Dannys advice as well as others and get out more . A gentle wake up call to the body that it can,t settle in to what should be middle age . Its flipping freezing out and my foot wear is not the best . I think I,ll get the old construction boots and walk the local park looking for arrow wood . I am eating a little better . It actually costs a little less to eat well . As long as you don,t mind rabbit food ! L:O:L

2 1/2 hrs of doubles tennis tonight is strainning my back........and knees too...they are hurting........:(
And I was playing people older than me....... :(

And I think supplements like glucosamine msm helps........knee felt better

Geeze; all those preparing or about to turn 50 raise your hands!!!

I know a little about the NSAID's, I was treated by the same folks who treated the Dodgers for their sports injuries. They even gave me a pamphlet with a picture of a baseball player. Wow.

Anyway; when you know you will be in a high use situation, like the day before the big hike or game, start the Ibuprofen then. I believe it takes approximently three days for sufficient blood serum levels of the drug to be built up. Most people take their ibuprofen too late, and end it too early.

Does the Ibupropen just mask injury . Does it have a true beneficial effect .
Ibu is my drug of choice for hangovers .
