I know this isn't an option...but I wish I would have suggested Blue Twill Carbon Fiber....just saying. Maybe we'll do a limited 110 run....

Yes. Blue Twill Carbon Fiber sounds nice. A limited 110 run sounds good to me. Nickel silver of course.

Eww. Not real carbonfiber and the upcharge if it's not real cf is not my thing.

I'm not that old, but I reckon I'm a little old fashioned. Carbon fiber is cool and all, but not for me on a Buck 110. I'd like to see a run of jigged bone.

We know we are going with Micarta even though Ironwood had the final winning number. Reason being is that we would have to do the plastic border with Ironwood. So next is figuring out a color. It's down to the suggested colors in this thread. I know that the 2 carbon fibers together are greater than both, but I think Micarta wins! Also, the blade will be stonewashed (unless the render looks awful) and we'll be doing the M390 steel, or whatever the US equivalent is.

I'm glad you decided to go with micarta instead of the Ironwood with a plastic border. I would love to see the "Titan" blue micarta. My second choice would be a black/gray micarta.

Well unfortunately the Blue Micarta is completely out. Buck doesn't have any on hand and they took 6 months getting me the Titans due to the Micarta. I love that stuff.

Ha! It can't be helped. That's what Buck told me is how all are being built. Hopefully the version is perfect and doesn't need anything aftermarket. After all, that's basically what we do at SKBlades. Provide production knives with aftermarket specs.

As to the CF on the 110, we shall see. I'm getting a materials list from Buck to go over some options for this year's knives.

Too bad about the blue, that would've looked awesome. Likewise on the blue twill. But it'll be sweet with a nice burgundy or natural canvas.. Or reeeeaally awesome with some red or green herringbone micarta :p:D
 
I really like the looks of that burgundy. Put me down for one. Something I kind of like on occasion and have never seen on a Vantage would be a partially serrated blade, hint, hint!

Just wanted to correct/amend my comments above. Buck has offered a partially serrated blade on the Vantage. I guess I just never noticed it. All of mine are plain edge

prefer full serrated. much more useful.
