Please, everyone give me your thoughts on what I've narrowed it down to. Or if you have a better idea, please feel free to suggest it.

I've narrowed it to three choices:

CRK Sebenza
Speedtech Synergy
or Microtech DA Socom (clip pt.)

Tough choice for me!

Thanks for your replies in advance!

I like the idea of the D/A Socom just because it is a D/A. All of these are pretty darn nice carries. I don't know if I could actually use them. I know that my GT police minus the ugly clip, with a MT style laynard in my left pocket and a Emerson Commander in my right are just right and don't bother me if they get screwed up. Good luck choosing you have a pretty impressive list.

Ohhh man you picked out some mighty nice folders to decide from. I'd go with the Sebenza first, then the Synergy would be a close second. Then after you pick up a few Sebenzas and Synergys you can get that DA Socom.

I don't have one, but I would go for the Sebenza. All of the knives on your list are exceptional and would serve you well.

Haven't seen those Dozier's yet.

In the not too distant past, I sold nearly all my knives. Got sick of spending so much money for them to sit around and not really finding the "perfect" folder for me. Now I've decided to go for the gold and get something that I will never have a need to replace. Yeah, right! I know, I know, once a blade junkie always a blade junkie!

Actually, just the other day I got a sweet new folder. It's got a black handle and serrations, and says "Taiwan" on the choil.
Forget Chris and Microtech!... Why are you looking at me like that???

LMAO @ Howie!

I would go with the Sebenza. The Speed Tech is to purdy to use and the DA will just get ya in trouble!

Hi Super, Man go with the SpeedTech. One solid knife. Use mine every day. Function, fit and fun to use. You will not be sorry...
It also rides in the pocket deeper and the only thing ecposed is the clip. I have no problem with removal and opening.

I like the Sebenza, it's a strong and solid knife. The Speedtech is nice too, and I'd take that over the DA. The DA is too much of a risk ifyou get caught...

HI Superman, I would go with Sebenza for I heard they are better when you actually try them , then what they seem. I dreamed of converting my collection into one ultimate carry piece too. But my fantasy involves getting burned out of my home and getting the insurance and just starting over completely. I would get a custom designed/engineered from ground up Automatic folder with MOP scales no clip, doesn't lock in open position and flat ground no file work.

Merry Christmas, Kal-El!

You can see the Dozier Integrals at Triple Aught Design.

The Speedtech is a great knife, to be sure, but if choosing between one of those three, or any one knife over the multitude of others, I would pick the Sebenza.

Hand ground BG-42 blade in a classic, utilitarian pattern with the most reliable and proven lock on the market. Fit and finish backed by the best customer service in the industry. Ease of maintenance and the ability to be refurbished to like new condition for about 5% of initial cost. Retains high market value, and just about the easiest knife to resell out there, should you choose to do so.

If there can be only one, the choice seems clear-cut. Sebenza.

Well if it helps any, My sebenza ended my folder search. I have had mine for over two years now and havent been dissappointed in the least. Before I used to get at least two folders a year in the search for the ONE. But be careful what you wish for. Now that I have ABSOLUTLY no reason to buy another folder life has lost just a little purpose?

I agree with the Sebenza. After buying over a dozen folders in the last year I finally bought a small Sebenza. What a boring y2k it will be with no more knife purchases.

Well, I have carried all 3. Not at once, but that would be a pretty good idea.

The DA is great, the Sebenza is very strong and the Synergy looks the best. but all three are top notch blades.

But there is a synergy in my pocket right now.

I never held a SpeedTech, though I hear good things about them. DA Socoms have the same liner locks as MAs, be careful! There is only one folder on the planet that I would choose over a Sebenza, and that is a Carson large Model 4 with a 4" 420V blade. Even that can't be disassembled, cleaned and lubed like the Sebenza can. For me a primary carry utility is going to get some guts, hair, etc. in the pivot from cleaning game, I love the fact that the Benz can be cleaned by its owner.
