Amazing! Great viewing - I be just gone and had another look through here! ( by the way it’s Campbellclanman the new format drops the last letter a second line ☹️)

Campbellclanman, I also scanned back through this thread. You also have a very nice collection of hard to find Henckels. I'm with Herder, that Ivory piece is exquisite and rare.

Thank you for the kind comments my friend. Yes they are all great knives but with your knives, Herders and Mikes it’s extremely inspiring!!

Not sure about that, but it is in the 1898 Henckels catalog. It's well over a hundred years old.

Freelivin - those pictures are gone my friend?
I am pretty sure those handles are Ivory with the coloration and Grain, and a totally normal thing for Cutler companies to use.

Some people get worried about the Ivory thing- if the Knife is old- which yours is, they used Ivory on them - it was widely used and I dont see why people get upset when seeing such things from 100 years ago, I think now would be a different story if someone went and trophy hunted an Elephant then used the Ivory for a Knife, but we have to be realists in what happened a hundred years ago- happened, and we either learn from things and move on- or dont!
