No worries. You're entitled to your opinion but I was born and raised here and have travelled all around SoCal and NorCal and I don't feel I should be ashamed of my home state, but rather proud. I think everyone should be proud of their state.
 
ha.. that's where I left :)...

actually ran my business I had there, from here, carried a 951 cell and none of my clients knew I left, until there would be the occasional luncheons I was invited to that I would decline... did that for 18months until late '07 the economy collapsed there and I eventually dissolved the business, had some guys worked for me for over 5 yrs I had to let go.. sad really, I have a lot of friends there that are still hurt financially by that...
 
so I found out the hard way that oil based leather dye will etch polyurethane floor finish. stains it, too. :(
 
Got a open WiFi alert on my phone while I was out shopping so I went to see the WiFi availability options one was called "NSA_listening_post_3". I was like wtf is that? So I googled it, its some kinda spying thing..

with that said, I was born and raised in los angeles, grandma lived in venice less then a mile from the beach... so I'm VERY familiar with so cal and have only moved from there 6 yrs ago... and I'm not only heartbroken that my home town is falling apart but literally disgusted where its gone in the last 15yrs.. am I proud, well lets just say my 1st or second year I learned to stop mentioning where I was from to people out here...

I do miss what it WAS from time to time... and most of all miss friends and familiarity....

A man should always defend and protect his home!

Being proud, on the other hand is a whole nother story! i have been all over this country and others and the people here in Philly and NYC should not ever be proud! protect and defend, well thats instinct bred into man since the beginning of time but being proud of garbage is setting your expectations WAY too low.
 
Worse invention ever = liquid smoke flavoring

I mean really people are too idiotic or lazy to let real smoke flavor the meat? i mean damn smoke is free, cut a damn tree....

Been burping, and throwing up smoke flavoring for 2 days now.... Jamaican jerk chicken was good until i realized they didnt have any grills on location and that the rice got its smoke flavor from the skin of the chicken touching it. I mean my damn stomache is coated in liquid smoke... DISGUSTING.
 
Well my first theory was that Guyot Designs blocked me from their Facebook page, which would have been a smart move on their part, I was getting ready to blast them yet again for their inability to produce the unique products that their company is best known for, but it is starting to look like they closed that page down. Very interesting. Makes me wonder if they are finally throwing in the towel or if they were bought out? I hope that it was the latter, those patents would be a real shame to lose simply because they have no idea how to run a business.

nail polish remover and a scotch brite pad worked on some of it - SWMBO was in town so she stopped at the lumberyard to pick up a gallon of acetone -- $16 and we can use the leftovers to degrease stuff for the next 5 years!

went into a out of the way REAL crufty mil surplus store today

found the back packing section

and shit my pants... lo, there were two Becker Patrol Packs...

woo hoo!

well, except for the funny part that they were made of nylon, and cheap buckles, and upon closer inspection appeared to be cheap clones

you know what this has been bothering me since I left my last post... I'm out finishing this sod around the house I'm getting ready to sell, and I have thought about going back to cali several times, even brought it up to the wife (shes from here) and have tossed it around a bit, so in part I am jealous matter of fact a little pissed.. I'm mad in most part because my home state/ birthright has changed so much, maybe I'm spoiled out here with open carry, high cap mags etc etc.. yeah oklahoma has nothing metro going for it but its a good place for me and my family... doesn't mean cali isn't either, it all stems from the home...

so I'm sorry for coming off like a jerk earlier, I let a little comment I intended for 710 to be merely a raze, but in part let it get to me.. I could in fact blame calif for my attitude earlier as well :) but I'll man up and just say I didn't mean any offense to anyone, my text doesn't come off so well lately... but in part I'm heartbroken there has been so many changes out there that I feel as an outsider now..

just throwing that out there for what its worth,

Dude, really, I know is the snark thread and figured you were razzing him. Also gathered that you had some experience here.
I thought I'd razz back a little.
For what it's worth, when I see what this state has become, and where it's headed, I think of leaving often. I just don't know where I'd go. Do I want to trade best weather ever for open-carry? Earthquakes for tornadoes? Bees and rattlesnakes for brown recluse and BIG rattlesnakes?
I tried Colorado for 3 years. It was beautiful, but I missed easy access to the beach. And it rained nearly every afternoon in the summer, which just didn't sit well with me. I have family in CO, MI, OK, MD, FL and others. Whenever I visit, I'm always happy to return. So CA is where I'm staying for now, warts and all. And yes, I'll freely admit that our warts are bigger than your rattlesnakes. (My niece was bit by a copperhead in OK 3 years ago. She does NOT wish to repeat the treatment...)

Take it easy, and keep on doing what you do.
