Just got done trueing the wheels on one of my bikes. Don't know how I let the back wheel get so bad that I had to loosen my brakes all the way and the pads still rubbed. I know nobody cares but I felt like sharing so...

*lol*
nice.

methinks the surveillors don't leave the SSID broadcast turned on for their WAPs....
methinks they prolly don't use commercial WAPs either...

And THAT my friends is exactly what they want you to think...

Hahahahahahhahahahahahahaha. My sisters dumb shit boyfriend pushed me so I grabbed him by the throat and punched him into a wall. Next thing I know I'm choking this little $hit I have my sister clawing me in the head he's trying to throw me but can't move me. Then I throw him out while still being clawed in the back. I'm about to call his parents and have a little talk with them but felt like posting this first. :D

Best part about it while he punched me in the head I geared a loud POP come from his hand. I lost his parents phone number but I'm expecting them or a few cops to show up soon.

Just found out about an hour ago, that my cousin's husband bought 3 scratch off instant lotto tickets, and hit 3.1 million. Lucky bastard. Good to see someone win it who didn't have much.

I think I've hit my pinnacle of edc equipment. This gear has served me perfectly for the last 3 months.

Those little vise grips come in handy. I have a Schrade set, with the blades:

The little Channel locks are handy at times too:

he who calls the cops first usually wins these things. esp if you ejected him from your place of residence.

"need to report that i ejected someone from my house that attacked him. i don't want him within 300 yds of my place, ever again, or i'll prefer charges..."

suggest he buy a few sets of Beckers to celebrate :)

Really cool, I've always enjoyed experimenting with foreign military surplus. Good call on swapping the straps out, this is almost an exact duplicate of what I used as a book bag in college.

I hate to be that preachy old guy, but I also hate to see people I care about get hurt... so here goes, the way you have your hawk featured in your pics is just about the least safe way to carry it on a pack. Please think about attaching it head down with the head on the lower outside of the pack, keep the pack between your body and the hawk. Someone always showed up to mountaineering class with their ice axe mounted the way your hawk is, first lesson always had a lecture on how gear intended to save your life can also kill you.

Erik

Erik, I truly appreciate your concern. I mainly put the hawk in the bag that way so the bag could sit upright on my bench and in my vehicle. Once the bag is on my back, this is how I will be carrying it. Theres a canvas strap that the grenade pouch is strapped to. Its a perfect sleeve for my hawk.

are you 100% positive this is Italian and not a Swiss Army pack??

I am 100% sure the guy I traded with said it was, that it looks just like what Mitch from NativeSurvival sells (and claims its the Italian) and the website I also found it very cheap calls it that. I am really going by all that---But like others have said, they are probably very similar. Both Countries are known for their mountain divisions.

saweet, I checked out his site,I didn't realize they were going for so much.... I have 5 of them, stamped swiss army.. I'll have to get a pic up.. I've been meaning to make a couple winter bob's for me and the wife's vehicles but never got around to it..had them for a couple years now, oh also got a swiss army medical bag with all kinds of stuff in it, even had a mora classic from the '70's...

all for I think around $50 :D gots to love closeouts....

Well my first theory was that Guyot Designs blocked me from their Facebook page, which would have been a smart move on their part, I was getting ready to blast them yet again for their inability to produce the unique products that their company is best known for, but it is starting to look like they closed that page down. Very interesting. Makes me wonder if they are finally throwing in the towel or if they were bought out? I hope that it was the latter, those patents would be a real shame to lose simply because they have no idea how to run a business.

Its funny that you mention this, Derek. I have had my suspicions about Guyot for some time now---I posted this on another forum back in July 2012:
Had an interesting chat with Nalgene and Guyot today--
· Thu Jul 12, 2012 07:32 AM
So I finally got sick of wondering about the mysterious disappearance and unavailability of the Nalgene/Guyot bottle. I spoke with a Nalgene representative today and she basically told me that they are currently on an indefinite backorder. She stated they get them from Guyot Designs and Guyot gets them from China. I mentioned the mysteriousness of the situation, that these bottles have become very popular and are in quite a high demand. She advised me that Guyot has been acting the same way to them. Apparently Guyot is dragging their feet, giving them the run-around and sometimes even hanging up on Nalgene reps. I inquired as to why Nalgene just doesnt do something on their own and get these bottles (or something very similar) back on the market before another company (ie Klean Kanteen) corners the market and creates a loss of potential profit from Nalgene. She informed me she was not aware of the popularity of these bottles and said she would pass this info on to the product development people so that they may do something. I then called Guyot myself. The customer service rep was very friendly. I asked, "What happened to the Stainless Steel bottles?" She immediately got very curt. "You need to speak with product services, please hold." I was placed on hold for several minutes. The same woman returned to the line, said they were currently unavailable and asked if I would like a call back. I left my name and number. I doubt I will be receiving that return call. It was quite odd the way the tone of the call changed as soon as I mentioned the bottle. I think maybe if everyone starts contacting Nalgene and making them aware of the demand of these bottles, they might do something.---also I just learned the proper way to pronounce Guyot. I always thought it was GUY-IT or GUY-OT but when they answer the phones they say GEE-OH Designs (G sound, not a J sound).

My wifi is named DEA Surveillance Van..

*lol*

I have thought about naming my WIFI something like that (CIA WATCHDOG, FBI MOBILE SURVEILANCE,etc..) but I figured I would be asking for hackers to try hack in. Then when they got in, they would be all pissed because it wasnt anything cool and would wreak havoc on my computer and personal info.

They arent going for that much. Mitch is smoking something.lol (literally, he smokes stuff all the time in his videos.) He says his are of better quality than the ones you can get on ebay for much less. According to the guy I got it from that is where he bought it (and I assumed paid the current price). I would say this pack is in good condition. there are rust stains on the canvas around where some of the buckles got a little rusty--mostly the d-rings on the bottom of the pack. I found a website that sells them for 18 bucks in good condition and 30 for a brand new un-issued one.
