Today I had to work at the animal shelter. There were SO many frickin ADORABLE dogs. I am thinking seriously that I should get a puppy.

and on a lighter note.. I think I'm getting back in the swing of things, I keep licking my wounds but that wont stop me..

But best of all was the tool belt I whipped up for my son. It didnt take long and it wasnt my best work but he LOVES it! Now he wont have to run around with his tools stuck in his pants. It has 3 little sheaths and a loop for the hammer. I made it out of some scraps and an old belt.

Oh, good lord -- the boy has a jr. bat belt!
we're all gonna die!

ps nice looking sheaths -- looks like you found some double sided quick rivets, too.

That's awesome Psy! My boy came out tonight to help me. He decided that he wanted to do some filework. So I gave him some scrap and he really impressed me. He has always told me that when he grows up that he wants to be a professional baseball player. Tonight he asked me if it was possible to be a pro ball player AND a knifemaker. Haha. I told him the yes and the beauty of both is he doesn't have to be the best of either. Just have to do it to the best of your ability. He's a good boy.

Had a sweet ides for a sheath maker to tackle.....back pocket sheath for a small fixed blade and a 1911 mag. Mag would need to be concealed. Good idea or no?

Thats awesome! I love that my kids like to hang out in the shop.

Yeah, I do to. Sometimes they make it a little difficult to get stuff done. But I can't turn them away. My daughter has a real artsy side to her. Yesterday, she came out to the shop and made a beer can art project for me to hang on the shop wall. Bless her heart. Sometimes you just gotta put the tools down and enjoy your surroundings.

AC - that's a good idea.
psy - if you need some ideas for how to make a deep carry mag pouch work, drop me a line.

Your sheaths are lookin better with each one Psy. Of coarse you don't need me to tell you that. What color are you using to get the result of the ones you just posted?

The 2 BK9 sheaths are chestnut but I got a side of the high dollar Wickett and Craig drum dyed stuff. Do you think it looks better or do you like the look of the others like that BK16 sheath to the left?
