I love hot sauce!

I've heard of Blairs before, and you just reminded me.

I just ordered six bottles of the stuff after reading your post.

Which style do you think has the best combo of flavor and heat?

one of the problems with blair is that its 6-7$ a bottle, but when its good, its REALLY good.

the three that i liked the most for flavor and heat were the jalepeno death, the jalapeno tequila from the heat series, and the chipotle slam. the thing about the chipotle is that you could literally drink the stuff - wich i did, through 3 bottles in just under 10 days. to expensive of a habit for me to keep :(

the tequila jalepeno is basically puree'd jalepeno's in a bottle. really really good, slightly vinegary, but overall very good. again though, i ended up putting on a teaspoon per table spoon of food i ate, and it went really fast.

the jalepeno death is reeeally salty, but for me it was the overal best of the hot sauces. again because it added heat, but not that much, and it was delicious. again, went like water.

the sudden death is, for me, the limit of heat where if you gonna have it, your just going for the heat, not the flavor. its very smoky and basically tastes like your eating a fresh habenero (wich is fun :D ). its lasted me a long time because you can only really use it sparingly and still taste your food through the heat.

Hey, hey, hey, were supose to be talkin AK47 here, not death sauce!!!

i am sorry about that. probably should have blurred the backround of that image more then i did.

mmmm iron sheath with a kydex insert...

seriously, if you have a sheath thats got a really solid lock up, possibly with a metal frame and tip, this thing would make for a decent walking stick for trips into the woods.

i understand fully that the japanese didnt intend for these knives to be used for "utility purposes" like chopping logs and clearing brush - they had designs like the nata's and the full chisel ground wood cutters for those purposes. but given the steel, the gemoetry, and the "i'll do whatever the hell i want with it" factor, i'm so gonna use it for machete work...

wich makes me wonder how it will do for clearing tree limbs and the such. i know it'll hold up under the use, but how well it gets momentum and force, and how it transmits vibration is going to be really interesting to see first hand.

cant beleive its still only 587$... 2 weeks pay for me (at the moment), gonna be worth every second of time spent to get it...

and the best part - i dont think i'd want to change a single thing on the design... i'd say id like more sori (curvature of the blade), but for what im going to use it for i dont think it wouldnt benefit me much. i like every last part of the design so far...

GONNA BE AWESOME  :D

Great, just what I needed, to be on another "List". Does that mean my HOFSH or Mini EU-17 will be here in "Two weeks"?

Nice work Josh. That gives us an excellent idea of what it'll be like. Amazing production schedule too!

Cheers,
BJB :D

Been away from the forums for a long while, nice to come back and see this thread

I didnt notice it mentioned anywhere (unless I missed it), but is there a rough estimate of when the AK-47 will be made available?

ps. long time no trade Bravado ;)

After doing that mock one in the other thread  :p and seeing something similar to the hand ground serrations, I got tingly

Take your time putting these up. I'm going for a second job to get one of these :D Fully serrated.... Just makes me all tingly inside

Other than the "cool" factor, why would you want a fully serrated sword?

A serrated blade does not chop, or slice as well. Pretty much the only thing that it will do better is "saw" back and forth, which is not what a sword is designed for.

That's just my understanding, if I'm off base I always welcome new info.:)

Ehhhhh... why not? :D ;)

Actually... When I was messing around with this, I figured I'd see for grins what something similar in size would look like with serrations. Just gives it a wicked cool look. As for the functionality, only time and use would prove if they would be good or not for my uses. I would most likely use it for filleting salmon, halibut and pure enjoyment. That is, if I get one and actually use it

I've been to 3 different computers today, and still see red X's instead of pics. Is a serrated version of the new AK going to be available? And more importantly, are enough going to be made that they won't all sell out in the first week?

What? No-one's gonna acknowledge if the new AK will be available in a serrated version?

Or post pics in a different format?

:(
