Here come the chinese!!!

.....it is kind of like that game whack-a-mole. You stop one seller but another one pops right up to take his/her place. Frustrating! :grumpy:

I'm sure this is why this guy has all three-day auctions. They anticipate being shut down quickly and short auctions are cheaper.

However, he is not being shut down yet. Wonder why? Maybe because he qualified his heading with "Buck Style?"

Maybe if he doesn't CLAIM it's a Buck he won't get shut down?

I sent a question to this seller inquiring weather theses knives were made by the Buck knife company or were they made to look like Buck brand knives and his response was "yes" they were made by the Buck knife company.

There may be a problem with that, though.......I sent him a couple of questions and the only answer I got was....."Yes."

I asked if the knife in the picture was the one I would get and if the knives were made in China.

Both got a yes.

Guess we need to ask him a question with an obvious "No" for an answer and see what happens.

:D

But...he said it has "Good Toughness".....Bwaaaa ha ha ha:p:p

That's a good sprinkler digger me thinks.....

I just tried to go to there web site and spyware blocked them out. said it tried to install a trogain houre to my system. what is the deal???

Unfortunately, these auctions keep popping up. Our "legal guy" who has been hear at Buck for over 30 years, gets just a tad hot under the collar when talking about these counterfiet knives! He is doing what he can through the online auction site where they are appearing but it is kind of like that game whack-a-mole. You stop one seller but another one pops right up to take his/her place.

Here it is, Friday morning and these auctions are still untouched and up.

Nobody has whacked these moles.

Wonder why?

Bet the "legal guy" is really hot under the collar now.

Actually, to be serious.......I hope it's just that your spyware was being a little overzealous......because others of us who went to that site didn't get any notification of a problem.

Since we are helping Buck ruin their fake auctions--it's entirely possible that some of these folks might lay traps for us.

What's the name of the spyware program that gave you that warning?

webroot anti virus with spy sweeper. it has never failed me yet.

Thanks. I have Norton 360. It has never failed me that I know of......it takes care of 90% of the threats without ever notifying you. I guess I just have to trust that it knows what it's doing.

I use Firefox as a browser and I think that's a little safer that Internet Explorer.

I do think I'll just quit inspecting the Chinese links we get here......some of them may be a bit hostile.

:)

I get norton for free from juno.com every year. I am running that too. webroot just pop up and told me about the trogin horse that was trying to be installed and stop loading the site.

Yeah.....that kind of worries me.

There are certainly some pissed-off Chinese folks who know we're constantly reporting their auctions and getting said auctions canceled.

:(

Update:

Legal guy has done nothing to this seller.

He's still selling and hasn't been touched.

He has nine knife auctions and three of them are Buck.
