Here goes!

I gotta hand it to you, it looks GREAT!

Really nice...

I personally would not be bothered by some tooling marks as long as the edge is good to go!

If their are tooling marks, they aren't conspicuous enough to come through in the picture...so they must be very minor.

Clamp,

Thanks for the info. Makes sense. When you don't know the outcome, control the process, each process individually. Would you mind a straight on side photo of the grip panel, so I could see what the beads did to the Micarta? What did it change about the grip? Just the texture?

A glass beaded version of the Micarta TGLB seems like exactly what I am looking for! Also, how badly did the blast process dull the blade?

From what I am told about how easy glass beading is (when you have the right media grit and equipment), I'm surprised its not offered more on Busse knives... (maybe it's not as easy as I'm told)

Thanks!!

Some years ago at the Easton Trunk Show, I scored a satin Custom Shop FSH by proxy. Sent the knife back in to Garth for a DCBB spa treatment. He was a little reluctant at first, as the scales were permanently fixed with Corby bolts and the normal process is to do the bare blade and then rivet on the scales. He was particularly concerned that the media would not be able to get up close to the scale, and the texture would be different there. But I told him that I would be OK with that and that I liked the texture of blasted micarta and so he agreed to try. It turned out great! I wish that they would offer blasted scales as a regular option.
