" compass " For example.
an o never makes a u sound, so why does it in the word compass ( I'd doesn't, us Yankees just say it wrong )😁😁

Though Bowie never had a knife that looked anything like that.

But no point dragging historical accuracy into it! :D
 
David Bowie's fame really reeked havoc on the proper pronunciation of the BOO-WE knife.

Only to carry in public.

There is no prohibition on owning them or using them on your own property or property you have permission to be on, say in a hunting capacity on a deer lease. Hopefully, that will change during the next legislative session. We almost got it passes this past session, but BS politics got in the way at the last minute.
