Here We Go Again! Everything’s Bushcraft, Bushcraft & Magnacut Steel! WHY?

I hike all of the time. My Case medium stockman is the knife I take. Is it bushcrafty? I don't know. Tactical is dead, so now we are all mountain men instead of operators I guess. I'll just keep enjoying my hikes and not worry about it. The same goes for knife steel. Carbon steel does all I need it to do. Guess I'm not one of the cool kids. Good!
I am not sure about the “kid” part, but you are definitely cool in my book.👍

I see trouble on the horizon...

I remember being excited about benchmades 154cm. Got into the higher end steels later but now realize that for just using a knife, 1084, 1095, mora stainless, all great for me. Dulls quicker but sharpens very easily. Tough. Cheap. A lot going for it.

I'm too lazy to read all of the preceding messages. If someone will kindly give me my opinion and let me know if I am For It or Against It, I would appreciate the assistance.
I'm on board with this one...I think. Didn't have time to read the whole thing.

If Magnacut was as available a couple years ago as it currently is these days, I'd have a few knives made from it by now. It looks like an outstanding steel for a lot of different types of knives. I'm currently just waiting for Magnacut to line up with a knife on my want list at the right time.

I don't have anything against the bushcraft phenomenon in the knife industry, as a lot of people are having fun with their knives doing bushcraft (or camping as we used to call it), although I would like to see more knives with thinner blades being made for the outdoors.
