Does this look black and tan G10 to you? It looks almost like micarta or even Tan & Brown G10 to me. Has Busse ever offered earth & coyote G10 (linky) or something similar?

Also, please give me a list of scenes where Daryl is showing off his Gemini. I'll grab higher resolution screens. This is what I've got so far:

S2 Ep1 "What Lies Ahead" (chopping up a zombie)
S2 Ep4 "Cherokee Rose" (pics below)

brown or black? Why are you guys so sure? The color variances say G10 to me but the colors are off.
 
Looks black to me, going by that photo.

The G10 handles are quite distinctive when you see them.

It will darken considerably in some/most cases. As for the color variation in the handle, this probably has a lot to do with the environment that the knife has been in and what it's been through.
 
G10 doesn't change colors, or none that I own ever has, that's black canvas on Darryl's. @ Shunsui, what light is that under the innertube? Looks like the child of a Surefire6p, and something else.
 
Def. Black Canvas Micarta. The tops of the ridges have darkened from use, giving it a bit of a two-tone color.

Also, fwiw Busse makes ALL of their own micarta and G10 in-house (at least that is what I was told in an e-mail when looking for some blue and black like theirs to have some gun grips made from).

From what I can tell, I think it is a Fenix or a Four-Sevens of some sort.

That's an old Fenix L1Tv2. Twist the head for low/high, clicky switch, AA. Nice except for the turn on flash if you're in Low. The 4sevens Quark Tactical is a nicer version these days.
 
Thanks! I thought Fenix by the faceted profile, but the tail switch looked like my ol' 6p's. Sorry for the off topic OP!
 
What color...? I see B&T G-10, one or two black micarta & a tan micarta handled TG's (or TG handle) on the table.

There are at least 4 TG's used or available for use on the set as seen in these 2 pix. One is now just a handle...

Each scene that has one in it will dictate which will one be used... Lighting is important. Most likely, the knives have been altered to reduce reflections/shine, i.e. beadblasted or enhanced, i.e. marked up (to look dirty and/or used).
Usually...as in so far, closeups with 'Daryl' and the Team G seem to be the one(s) with black canvas handles...

I just picked up a Olight S10 Baton for pretty cheap at the Denver Int'l Sportsman's Show. Pretty danged AWESOME!!! :cool: TONS of light from a single CR123 platform! :eek: Measured 350 Lumens out the front from a Cree XM-L LED on high. :thumbup:

I know. Meant to make mention that that comment was directed at micarta only.

Sorry, that was actually meant for the OP in case he hadn't had any dealings with the 2 materials. BTW, I'm just down the road from ya in Morganton!

I've got a bunch of micarta... and patiently waiting on G10 from the swamp. Non of my micarta have the multiple colors like Daryl's. Must be the Gemini cut. Plus my micarta is sooo much darker.
