Here's The Mini Sus Scrofa. . . Fear It!!!!!

If this is any sign of what Jerry can think up, what are we going to see at BLADE?

It just makes my brain ache!!!

We've seen this blade design at Blade once before. Only now it is truly awesome, INFI and no serrations.

I had a custom knife made for me last year with almost the exact same blade style. I run a steam plant and have found this to be a very handy design for a working man's tool in the HVAC and operations trade. Admittedly it's no skinner, but I haven't had the oppertunity to skin out anything (or one!) at work yet! Couple of close temptations though.!!!

i think cheap is a relative term.

it just means that you will end up buying more.

i'm really hoping for a satin option. i hope G10 is there too!

I can see this design would be good for carpet, linoleum, seat belts....what are the other advantages of this design? How have others used this blade shape to their advantage before?

At first I didn't like it when I saw it, now it's starting to grow on me a bit....as they all do;)

I could see it being useful for an ambulance crew or some other rescue crew or even in a trauma bay for removing clothes. What we always used for that purpose was trauma shears.

If you look on the bottom blade of those trauma shears you see that it is a guarded tip. You can slide the bottom of the shear up someone's pantleg without fear of cutting anything you don't want to cut. The SS kind of has that guard built into the tip. It would be even more useful if the handle was put on upside down so that you could slide the blade upwards real easily. Just picture how you would cut a pantleg lengthwise and you'll see what I mean. The blade has to be facing up.

It would be a real hoot in the trauma bay if you whipped one of those things out though. The freaking nurses would flip out and probably file an incident report. Doh! If you were an EMS though you would have plausible denyability - "the patient must have been in shock." A field medic in the armed forces could probably get away with one too.

I'm still undecided on this one. It'd make a great package/box opener. But at what price am I willing to get ANOTHER one of those? I dunno.

I need more pix. That's the ticket! Maybe a straight-on profile. (Not diagonal and gussied up. Put it on a hard surface and snap a pic.) Plus a shot with someone holding it.

Hmmmmmm.

I gotta ask, is the 4 3/4" blade mesured from the choil or fromt he handle?

Has the regular sized version been produced and sold in the past also or is it still a concept?

These things have been sold to certain people over the years, have they been sworn to secrecy or is it just that noone has given theirs up?

Thanks

Now that looks wicked! When I get one of these it may have to be sent over to the custom shop and have some serrations put on:thumbup:

That double cut and black paper (or is it black G-10?) looks sweet. I hope it's going to be one of the offerings.

i really like this one. i'm a big fan of wharncliff blades and everything about this knife is great. the only thing i would want changed is a flat edge instead of the curved one. still bad ass, though. probably the first busse i will buy directly from the company... as long as the price is right...

tan, tan or od, od

There will be a serrated option but they will be handcut teeth.
