Herman Knives

Roy, we had a guy here maybe 6 months or a year ago who is now banned from BF who tried to trade his homeade ghillie suits for every knife listed for sale.
I agree that Tim's knives are definitely works of art. What I really like is that they are all functional, too. There was a time not that long ago when knives were entered in the art knife category at certain shows that weren't even beveled or sharpened. I have to say that Tim's are really knives besides being beautiful.
Tim, I think there's a Randall(Astro model?) in the Smithsonian also.

All of my knives are Art knives. Every darned one of them. And all of them are Users of one form or another.

Tim, I am very much looking forward to setting a milestone in the history of knifedom. Being the first person to actually carry and use a Herman knife will be quite an honor. I even have my speech all ready:

One small flick for a knut

One Giant Step for Knutkind!

The only question that remains is What to cut first with the worlds first Hermatronic user. I feel like such a Hermanaut. But, being someone whose intials are not CS, I have already ruled out cutting Stone. Although I admit having my mark set in stone with a Hermetic knife sounds mighty tempting. I am open to suggestions. What or whom should receive the First Cut?

Paracelsus, knut

From what I've seen of his knives, they border on perfection. I'm not so sure I would feel too comfortable using something so nice and expensive, though I'm sure they would do quite a job in the cutting department.

For the first cut, is there really any option other than cheese?

I think that Mr.Herman's knives are "KnifeArt" . As I think that most of the custom knives are : "Art ment to be used as knives" or "Knives , beautiful enough to be art" . A somewhat difficult way to say that I find almost every custom knife beautiful .
Barnaby , I would surely be interested in such a knife !

wait a second, Tim Herman makes knives? Or art pieces? I just remember the bimbos in their underwear with knives stuffed dangerously into bad places, or places I would be bad if stuffed into :eek!

Warning, impending thread hijack! Danger! Topic Shifting!

"smack!" Okay back to Herman knives, they are fine pieces of art with a nice pointy edge to them. So is my Bagwell. So is a Randall. So is a Piorek or Carson. Art is where fantasy and reality meet, and Tim does seem to do this better than most.
