Don't jump down my throat!

Ive not been here for a while and I missed the whole HEST thing.

Was there an issue with the folder quality or just a personal thing?

I have one on pre-order and I'm not sure to go ahead or not.
 
the knife is great, don't worry about it
read some threads, search, and you will find out more
what I can say, there were some minor problems with the LE's about the blade sitting a bit high, but they are fixed or being fixed, and the production version doesn't have that issue

Even though people take a leave of absence from the forums from time to time, the search button will always work when come back. ;)

There were quality issues with the LE models (I heard the regular production ones are ok. I do believe the LEs are being fixed as well) and then the whole personal crap-storm that happened.

I had a preorder but I cancelled it. Not because of issues with the knife itself, but that whole personal stuff left a bitter taste in my mouth (even though I wasn't involved) and I therefore decided not to buy the knife.

If you are only concerned with the quality of the knife itself, I believe you just ought to go ahead and get it.
 
My LE came yesterday and has been with me since then. The knife is great, I have another coming this week for my son (he's in the US Army).
 
I have 2 LE's and 1 production model. All are fine and very well done IMO.
I am pleased......... :thumbup:
