Hey Guys,

Deb and I are out here in the beautiful Northwest. Got into Colville washington a few hours ago. Nice place. Looks a little rough around the edges. But the mountains are dusted with snow and the country-side is real purdy.

Gonna be hitting the back woods and pigtrails looking at property for a few days. Be back home Saturday.

Ya'll try and stay out of trouble:D

Mark.....you dont want to leave that place do ya :)
Have fun friend!!! Tell those mountains I said hello :)

I wish we had time Bruce,

Thanks for the invite though.

If things go as we hope, I'll be able to visit Washington area folks all the time :)

Hope you find exactly what you seek, Mark! 'Luck!

We just watched a travelogue on WA that included a segment around Metaline. Jeesh, is that beautiful! Colville's about 40 miles from Ray Rogers in Wauconda. You could go play with his bears if'n you didn't find some of yer own!

Hope you took a camera to share a foto of the new homestead if it comes to pass! Have a safe trip!

We put a bunch of miles on today. Saw some beautiful stuff. We were so close to the borber, we went on and had luch in Grand Forks, Canada.

We drove up one road till there was 6 inches of snow on the ground.

Got some great pictures that I'll post when i get back.

A realtor is tagging along with us tommorow.

Saw a couple of definate possibilities.

I have been to Sequim.........were you close to there?

He's on the other side of the state Brian (with the mountains in-between us).

A lot of eastern WA (where Mark is) isn't really my style... it's GREAT for farming... but I like this side (western WA)... lots of trees, rivers, creeks, and we're right near the mountains. But where Mark is at is pretty too. It's quite a bit different than much of eastern WA. My great uncle lives in Colville, and he's got lots of trees on his property with plenty of wild turkey, deer, and elk.

My dad delivers feed to the animal sanctuary in Sequim every few months or so. He drives truck for Land-O-Lakes and normally takes food to moo-cows, but I guess those exotic animals gotta eat too ;)

I went all over your side of the state Nick.....VERY beautiful!

Thanks Brian... I love it here!

I should add though, that the green side seems to draw all the hippy, weird-o, freaks as well.

But most of them are relegated to the big cities that I only go visit (on rare occasion). So I can be with my own kind! :D

I live in a town of about 1000 people, VERY rural. Guess that's why I've bucked a couple hay bales ;)

oh they gots the hippies there :) Hell...Oregon crawles with them :)

Wow! one locked thread and folks are still talkin. Guess I really opened a hot topic when I brought up throwin the green stuff:eek: :D

I've heard stories about those western washington hippies. Got some friends that used to live out that way. I think the truth of the matter is they're everywhere you go now. I know I've met enough to make me puke here at school. Least you got some woods where you can get away from them. Seems like they don't know what to do when there's so many trees you can't hug them all.

I think God made hippies in an attempt to balance things out after realizing what He'd done by creating rednecks. :D

Back in old Virginny.

Had a blast. I'll get some pics posted tomorrow. We just rolled in.
Absolutely beautiful country. We saw 3 properties that are very much exactly what we want. All 3 were 20 acres with some fantastic views. I could fall in love with the area real easy.

Whoo hoo!!!

Hey Mark, Glad your back...whats up with the trip west ? your not really gonna leave the hood are you:o

John,
I wasn't sure till we saw the place. I'm sure now. Here's a couple of pics of a property that we're intrested in.

On our first day out we followed a little dirt road and ended up on top of a mountain. Could have made it further to find out where it ended , but a tree was in our path.
