Edited to add: never mind. I found a table online. YES, they do tax pensions, substantially. Scratch Oregon for us.

Mark, it looks like petrified wood for sure. How about an end view? It might show cell structure unless the microcrystalline quartz has overgrown it.

Nevada has no income tax and get a lot of its income from gambling taxes. There is some pretty fancy country in parts of it, too. The down side is they seem to have more cops per capita than any place this side of CA and they bird dog the traffic laws pretty seriously-no sense of humor either.
