Hey guys.

Jeez, give the guy a break...he's learning just like we all did.

SomeNewGuy, please don't take this the wrong way, but if you want to avoid the troubles your cousin had here my one bit of advice is to read more and post less. Again, no offense intended. A perfect example of this phenomenon is a member by the name of Bladeboss. When he first started he was a cold steel fanatic and often ended up on the wrong side of a Internet pissing match that always ended with personal insults from both parties and the thread being closed. He has since taken a bit of the community's advice and took a step back from posting. He still posts, but it's obvious he has been reading and doing his research because the content of his posts have drastically improved as has the tone of those posts responding to him. I'm not trying to compare you to your cousin or to Bladeboss, just trying to say that there are ways to get in good with the BF community, and making tons of new threads or new accounts and getting defensive isn't exactly the best way to do that. Again, no offense intended.

As for the skyline, I think you'll like it. However, something tells me it'll just wet your appetite for something nicer..

Another trick you should probably know regarding the skyline is how to properly use the flipper. The flipper is designed to be pushed straight into the handle, not pushed down while running your finger down the Back of the knife. Place your finger directly on the sharpest point of the flipper and give it a good hard push straight into the handle with no downward swiping motion and the blade should fly out with zero wrist flick necessary. Also, many skylines are somewhat stiff from the factory so the flipping action may be less than ideal when you first get the knife, but don't worry, it'll loosen up and smooth out over time.

Depends.

If 2 PC's use the same ADSL router, they'll use the same IP (Dynamic IP of router, given by ISP) to connect to the internet.
Thus both can be online at the same time using the same IP.

I can prove it, but having 2 accounts is not allowed as far as I know

This, Also the other day we were on at the same time. He was on at his house, and I was on my IPhone. We are totally different people I assure you that, But I have no way to prove it so you guys will just have to believe me, or just watch and see by way of behavior.

Just get a pic of both of you together holding your knives. ;)

Shawn, the snag is you joined under a dark shadow left by your cousin

After having him create so many accounts, you can understand why many people think you may just be another of them.
Having the same grammar, making the same punctuation mistakes and responding the same way (among other things) doesn't help

Or since you and your cousin both have iPhones, take a picture of one phone calling the other (in the same picture) with each of your hands holding them and your caller id's showing
Make sure you both use the same hand (left or right)

I could do that, but I don't see how that's going to solve anything.

It would prove that you and Chris are separate people (2 phones, 2 caller ID's. One calling ,one receiving) , and put all these rumors to rest

If you decide to this remember, you both need to hold the phone with the same hand (left or right), also proving you're separate people
Also use windows paint to block out all info u don't want people to see (like your phone numbers). Just your 1st names will do

Just so you know, if what everyone said was true, Couldn't i just get a friend to do it, thus lying and making the story believable? I'm just saying, it wouldn't prove much.

You could, but the phone way is harder. You and Chris both have large hands and an iPhone.

Another way is to take a snap shots of both your ID's on a table.
Very nb like before, use windows paint to blank out every bit of info .....

(pretty much all your ID's)
eg: Date of issue, last name, country, ID number ....everything

.....and leave/reveal your 1st names only

The proper way to flip (Slyline) is to hold the knife in front of you, place your index finger on the flipper, and swing your arm around in a full circle. Pretend you are bowling or pitching a softball. Don't forget to yell at the top of your lungs, "Come on baby!!".

:D

you might not think you'd spend that hundreds on a knife now. but its like all the finer acquired tastes in life. once you develop an appreciation for the finer quality in that field you will see the value in buying the higher end versions of it.
I was like that with whiskeys, I started drinking them straight when I was 18 (that's the legal age where I'm from) because I thought it made me look cool, but now I've developed an appreciation of their subtleties and don't mind dropping a good couple bucks on a higher end aged bottle of scotch or bourbon.

anyways, SOG typically doesn't make a... great.... folder. my opinion. if you want something of a nicer quality that has some color to it then I would suggest a spyderco (usually their sprints got a little color on em') or CKRT. only drawback to CKRT is that I don't always like their steel choice.

I'm also curious if you're at all a hobbyist. if so you could just get any old knife and make some custom scales your self for them. that's a thought. I do that myself. I still kind of suck at it but I'm getting a lot better. Its a really fun little hobby XP

anyways. welcome to the forum guy!

I've been doing that but yelling "Yahtzee!!" Is that the wrong way to do it? Will doing that void the warranty?

I love to tinker with stuff, I'm actually trying to figure out what I'd need to make scales. Hoping it wont require a lot of money in tools because i don't got too much of that right now.
