Jeez, give the guy a break...he's learning just like we all did.
SomeNewGuy, please don't take this the wrong way, but if you want to avoid the troubles your cousin had here my one bit of advice is to read more and post less. Again, no offense intended. A perfect example of this phenomenon is a member by the name of Bladeboss. When he first started he was a cold steel fanatic and often ended up on the wrong side of a Internet pissing match that always ended with personal insults from both parties and the thread being closed. He has since taken a bit of the community's advice and took a step back from posting. He still posts, but it's obvious he has been reading and doing his research because the content of his posts have drastically improved as has the tone of those posts responding to him. I'm not trying to compare you to your cousin or to Bladeboss, just trying to say that there are ways to get in good with the BF community, and making tons of new threads or new accounts and getting defensive isn't exactly the best way to do that. Again, no offense intended.
As for the skyline, I think you'll like it. However, something tells me it'll just wet your appetite for something nicer..
Another trick you should probably know regarding the skyline is how to properly use the flipper. The flipper is designed to be pushed straight into the handle, not pushed down while running your finger down the Back of the knife. Place your finger directly on the sharpest point of the flipper and give it a good hard push straight into the handle with no downward swiping motion and the blade should fly out with zero wrist flick necessary. Also, many skylines are somewhat stiff from the factory so the flipping action may be less than ideal when you first get the knife, but don't worry, it'll loosen up and smooth out over time.
