Dan,I had the hoses and the pump leaking,then the thermostate I thought wasn't working so I replaced that also...50/50 is what I put in..I checked the relays and the constant hot in the part that the relay plugs into wasn't hot,so I wired it like I did.The fan didn't come on when it got hot on Donna when this all started and she was on the road.Now with the fan running it doesn't get hot at all problem all fixed for now,Guess I should have a mechanic look at the electronics and fix the relay system though.

But now I can get back in the shop for a little while at least I hope.

I will call you next time I have trouble with it though to get advice,That is if you don't mind me bugging you.

no problem bruce any time. :)
if the hot wire is dead you can look and see if it a fused live wire is bad
there would be a place in the wire that has a smaller wire made into it from the factory so it would burn out before the rest of the wire would. the wire could be an accessory wire from the pos post of your starter solenoid.
I looked at the books I have and I'm jumping over that year I had new up to 1990 and the books I just renewed go back 10 years.
so I'm missing about 5 years of information. man time flies when you're having fun right? .. :rolleyes: :) my computer scanner would tell you but I can't hook it up to your car from here :grumpy:
 
At least it is running now.I have to get some shop time in so I will leave it alone for now..
