Well i don't know any other company's that charge for warranty. Ill try to make time tomorrow to call but i don't see a reason to give a shit as at any point i could have been called for an apology. That's what i feel i deserve. Cant wait to get the knife back im gonna sell it first chance I get along with my other emersons.

Sooo let me get this straight, you expect a busy company to call and apologize for a problem they don't know existed that involves one of their policies stated right on the website under warranty. Do you see where that is coming off as a little unreasonable? I get your upset but take 5 minutes off your lunch break and call them, they WILL take care of you.

From Emerson's website:
Sharpening Recommendations
We recommend that you sharpen your Emerson Knife the old fashioned way, on a bench mounted stone or diamond lap. The chisel ground blades should be sharpened on the beveled side only, and never sharpened on the flat side. You may remove the burr on the flat side by laying the blade flat on the hone and lightly touching the blade keeping it flat on the hone. Finish by stropping both sides on a piece of leather mounted on a hard flat surface. Never use a motorized or power driven sharpening device. It will ruin your blade. We will factory sharpen your knife if you prefer. Just ship, insured to us with $19.00 for shipping (Contact us for the shipping price if outside Cont. U.S.) and sharpening.

If you still stand by this post shoot me an email when you put those Emerson's up for sale I will give you a bulk price and take those POS's off your hands for you.:D

So I don't deserve a apology after spending hundreds of dollars on a knife that was broken? Also never said they were pieces of shit.

Can you explain why i was charged 19.00$ on my account? No call or email from Emerson while waiting for warranty work...

So now my super commander cost me almost 50$ more.

Can you explain why you are posting this in a public forum?

Can you explain how 19 turns into 50?

You very well may deserve one but currently no one knows because you haven't stated why you sent the knife in the first place. Was it to get the nick sharpened out of the blade or to stop the blade from hitting the backspacers? Is it a new knife or previously owned? How long ago did this take place. If you answer some of those I'm sure someone can find an answer that makes sense but it would probably be answered quicker by Emerson over the phone.

Brand new knife. Blade hit stand off when closed. I don't make knives. Don't know why it did that. I expected more from Emerson. I expected way more from a Super Commander.

This is a discussion forum for things to be discussed. Im explaining why I'm pissed off about a company that I once cared about. Usually it takes much less for me to not use a company anymore.

Fair enough, but when I argue with Mrs. OM I don't post it in a public forum. EKI absolutely will make it right, just give 'em the chance next time without publicly calling them out.

At any point I could have been contacted. I could defend they're actions too but i bought a expensive knife and got charged again. I dont know what else there is too it.

You think this was a hassle, try getting in touch with Strider...that's a challenge.
With this you can just give a call during business hours.

Forgetting the extra charges for right now did they repair the problem?

Original thread for anyone wondering.

Hate to be a bother again but, Is there anyway i can send it in without the form? I cannot get access to a printer right now.
Did you send the form in when you returned it for warranty work because if you didn't that may be why you were charged and not refunded. From anyone receiving it probably looked like just a standard sharpening job. Are you 100% sure they charged you twice or did you just assume they did when you first sent it in and then just now saw it on your statement. Not calling you a liar just trying to help figure this out. I'm sure if you call or email Emerson and if what I put above is the case they will refund you in full.

No I did send in with a form. Even put on the paperwork that the rep said it would be free. No luck.

I bought some stuff so i have been checking my account alot lately. The knife should have never been sharpned. If the sharpened it to get the kink out i would be so much more disappointed then i am now.

Just call them and ask nicely for help..they will deliver. Emerson rep has said in many threads that shipping will be refunded and warranty work is free if it falls under the warranty, from your original post i think eki stated it would get fixed.

So you're sure they charged twice? If they sharpened it it was probably to get the nick out, they wouldn't send it back with a nick in the blade because that would be poor customer service. If they fixed the knife but just didn't refund your money while frustrating it doesn't seem like the type of thing to write of the whole company I am sure if you call them they will refund the charge.
