Hey, STACY!!!!!!

OK, only 3 weeks and I already make a fool of myself :)

My sincere apologies Stacy.

Actually it doesn't really matter. The help you provide on this forum is invaluable no matter what the gender. Thank you very much again Stacy ! (but that won't happen again :D )

I am glad Sam brought that up. There are many people who share all they know and learned freely. You see their names in the list of threads regularly. It is a collective effort of all these selfless makers that makes BF the number one knife forum in the world. Salem, Nick, Bruce, Ed, Raymond, Tracy, and so many more.

But, it is also the new members and regulars that makes it work, too. Without eager minds and people who truly want to learn, most of these helpful folks would find someplace else to go, or other things to do. You can always see the frustration when an ADD youth or a foolish person just wants to post his thoughts and won't listen to any advice or constructive criticism. These people annoy teachers not because they don't agree with us, but because we can see that they will likely never achieve the level of skill and quality that they think they will/have attain/ed.

When I first came here, I read every single post in shop talk starting at the beginning.

It was way before he was moderator so there were no big red letters showing he was giving out good advice

It was still quite evident that his comments were spot on and he gave us a few glimpses into his work.

I love that pistol replica he made of burl wood.

...and how many people in the world get to make stuff for the Queen ?

Btw Stacy, I'm glad you changed your username. Looks much more legit now! Although you're pretty darn legit anyway IMO.
