Hi

I'm Tom, 49 and a lawyer, unmarried and no kids of my own but do have 25 nieces and nephews. Got into Busses looking for a great knife to reward and encourage my nephews to earn their Eagle Scout badges. This has been so much fun that I may decide to take all my blades with me when I go! And Amy, I still gotta get my own Eagle blade- might have to be a custom!

Tom,

Just give me a call and we will hook you up:thumbup:

I'm Stacey, Paddling_Man, Man_Paddling_Pork, Parmesan_Man, Paddling_Hawg. I've been around both BFC and INFI for a bit but wasn't able to be around for the Saturday night induction until this year. The Paddling_Man moniker is (sorry, BB) nothing to do with leather and S/M but from the decade or so that I lived in Appalachia and spent every weekend paddling one of my whitewater kayaks.

Now, I'm the father of two and that whitewater part of my life is virtually over. I'm in the midst of a relocation from St. Louis to Indianapolis. By day, I'm engineering management for a television broadcast group - by night, an INFIholic and toddler-herder.

Let's see... 38, married, 6'3", 230 and, uh, Pisces. ;)

Next?

I'm Guy, aka resinguy, now aka resinrib. I have been interested in knives for a long time. When I used to do garden and yard work for a lady way back in 8th grade, I bought my first good knife, a Case Sod Buster. Still have it, of course. I gradually acquired a modest, eclectic collection. Old Al Mars, early Spydercos. I was fortunate to find a Randall 1-6 in the display case when I stopped in to see the shop on Orange Blossom Trail, over 25 years ago. I went to gun shows mainly to see interesting knives. Scored a Parrish Survival knife, and a early Bud Nealy Aikuchi that way. Then AG Russell started to feed my need, and I got turned on to the old Bertram Hen and Rooster slip joints. I have more than a few of those pretty little knives. Somewhere along the way, a few years ago I stumbled in to BF, but just lurked occasionally, never registered. I remember visiting the Swamp Rat site when I could have actually bought a Tan Camp Tramp. :grumpy: I don't remember hearing of Busse back then. Last spring I read Cliff Stamp's review of the Ratweiler, and decided to get one. Spent more time here, and finally snagged one from Tyrkon Lawson last Fathers Day. You know the drill, it's been downhill ever since. :D

You have seen pictures of my wife and daughter here already. To help pay for the INFI addiction, I am a polymer chemist. Our company makes coatings for the inside and outside of food and beverage cans. We make the Frost Brewed Liner for Amy's favorite beverage, see US Patent #4,308,185. I am in the Global Research group, and 'cook' various epoxy, polyester, and acrylic resins for testing.

I am a lapsed cyclist. Ten years and 40# ago, I actually rode the three bikes in my stable.

Amy, may I please have my Milganza Leaner now?

Hello all, my given name is Shane. My taken name is PoorGuy and my monikers of shame are PorkGuy and Government Cheese. My wife Debbie and I are residents of Marietta, GA - home of Blade Show and I've been there each year since I stumbled on to it several years ago.

Debbie and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our adopted child Miller (no Amy, we're not going to rename him Coors); a 105 pound Anatolian Shepherd. Me-time is consumed by an addiction to guns, knives, and motorcycles and I'm happiest tinkering in my garage or goofing off outside. Hunting, hiking, shooting, camping and of course taking the Harley out for a spin compete with my time spent here and at work where I'm a computer geek for a commercial printing company. Until this year, I also operated a biohazard remediation company in order to feed my hungry, hungry safe.

I'm awestruck at the caliber of people, er, HOGs that the Busse community attracts. I've made great friends with more people in the past few years then I had in ten years before that. Kindred spirits with surprisingly diverse backgrounds and interests keeps me coming back every week. In time, I hope to meet everyone face to face that I've met here and in Rat Chat.

And you thought she was just ignoring you.:D

Our boxer, Shelby, went deaf in her later years. I'm glad I taught her hand signals as a puppy.

OK,OK, just don't hold my INFI!

I'm Kenny, AKA- HogPen44. I'm 46, married and have a beautifull 12 year old daughter. She loves sports just as I, she plays on a year round traveling team(soccer) that just went 29-1-2 for the year and won the GA State Championship.
She has the biggest and softest heart of anyone I know. She loves all living creatures and won't even let me kill a spider, even though they terrify her. Also a high honor student....Can you tell I'm proud. Sorry, but when asked to talk about my self she is what I think of.

I've joined a local knife club when I was in my late teens and have been collecting for almost 30 years now. I also love guns and was an FFL dealer for a while. Other hobbies but these are two of my favorites. Have done alot of canoeing and hiking in GA. and love most sports. My favorite place is Cumberland Island and North GA. And I hate talking about myself but maybe this will keep my INFI safe from Amy-Oink and Princess Gunner.

I love Busse and this forum... glad I found them both. Some of the nicest people I have met are right here in this forum and I'm very glad to be a part of it.
