This isn’t the same fish but to me it is the best Sliver I have landed so far. I was close to the ocean at the time and it was new to the river, bright and STRONG!!!

I took it with a 7wt rod and it was an interesting struggle as there was some fast water there. That same day I lost one that ran the free line out so fast that the floating line actually cut open my fingers and even when I got it on the reel, an Abel Super 8 reel (the Busse of reels), I could not stop that dam fish!!! It took me right into the backing and popped a 12-14lb tippet. If you don't know the reel that is a lot of line! Some days I wonder if it was even a Sliver.
