Dude... I don't know whether that is a really pretty fish or a really ugly one! Definitely, no where in the middle! :)

"Good on you" for posting pics, guys.

Mate that is a VERY good specimen of Barramundi Cod a protected species native to the Great Barrier Reef of North Queensland . Actually a very good looking fish and pulls like a freight train . One of if not THE best eating fish in the sea , that is before they became protected !

I actually think they`re a pretty fish .

Matthew - I'm jealous of that day on the water you had catching that boy!

Congrats!

Not showing are the Surefire 9P, the Microtech, the GW, the Leatherman Blast, the 2 way radio, 2 cel phones, and a couple of other items I can't discuss. Working in an adult post secondary trade school is getting to be more interesting these days, a guy's got to be prepared for darn near anything.

I would have to agree, Barramundi is by far the tastiest fish I have ever eaten anywhere.. I pigged out in Burketown, NW Queensland late last year...

Thats a different fish your thinking off mckrob . The one pictured is a protected species .

Ya, I saw the photo after I posted... certainly a different species than the ones they catch in the Gulf, but if it's even a fraction as tasty as it's big cousin it's no wonder it's endangered !

Here is the other tasty one:
