HG 55 ?'s

What a beast! Love it! Looks like a Nuclear and Melted Cousin or Uncle Resides below it in that pic above...............

First of all, nice job with the stripping Dakruiser, I think it looks much better like that! Also, that is an amazing and very professional looking mod done by Avalenz; I like it. I like the handle mod, and did you notice he took down the upsweep of the tip just a bit? The tip mod makes it a better fighter and general use design, but compromises skinning a bit where the upsweep excels. In full disclosue, I like the Urban Grudges :D

I did notice he changed the tip, I think I would leave mine alone, but that handle mod! :eek: SWEET!

The Urban Grudge is on my list, one of these days I'll have one, or more, lol :pig:

The first HG55s offered were the military overruns (awesome urban camo finish and reddish tan canvas micarta) and sold in a gaaanza.

The CBT tech has nothing to do with bleeding something out quicker - it was simply an experiment in adding strength in the same spirit of how honeycomb designs are used.

I've owned quite a few and all the variations - the LEs were by far the nicest due to the grind. My mill overrun was actually one of the worst Busse edges I've ever received from the factory - amazingly uneven grind.

They are one of the coolest looking designs I think, but they were very handle heavy and I didn't own mine long.

I always wished they'd have been 1 or 2 inches longer to balance out better.
 
I have one of the desert camo MO with the CBTs and penetrator tips. It's a keeper and a great value
 

I just got this one off exchange...First 55 I've owned---Very Sweet!
Knife is very solid with that .25" thickness,yet handles great.
CBT runs to tip & I'm sure will be an excellent butcherin/utility knife.
 
Very nice, zak. Looks like the same camo/handle as the Military Overruns', but I don't believe it is as the grind looks like that of the CG if I'm not mistaken. Either way though, great score and you will be very pleased with that one… :)
 
I asked recently, Pokey said it was Hog Grade. Whatever, it is a great knife. Not too big to carry, not too small, a good, usable point and nice and strong. Mine is smooth, without the corrugations. I love it.
