HG 55 ?'s

Pokey said it was hog grade in the other HG55 thread that was made a few weeks ago RAD

This thread has been haunting me for the last couple of weeks; I can't seem to get it out of my head. You guys with your pics of the LEs are killing me. I have therefore changed my signature. :D

These are from the HG55 Mil. Overrun offer:

Here's a bit of info about number 6A, the mil. overrun HG55. The bevel is different on this particular run than on the regular combat grade HG55 in so far as it has a hollow or concave bevel along the straight cutting edge and features a very beefed up convex bevel along the forward sweep of the cutting edge near the point. You can see where the deep concave grooves end and the convex bevel begins. . . . This gives the Mil. Run HG55 a bomb proof tip while maintaining excellent cutting power.

The regular Combat Grade HG55 features the hollow or concave bevel all the way to the tip.

ETA: These were offered t the 2009 Cupidganzaaa 2 and were offered only to inducted Hogs..
I was very very late in getting my email in (like the next day late), but still scored two.
The LE and CG versions came out right after.

Awesome looking knife man! It's amazing how Busse and Kin knives take on a personality of their own over time and use. I guess that can be said for most anything but it really shows with Busse and Kin.

P.S. This was sold once in an act of dire need and I actually tracked the forum member down and bought it back at a premium at a later date!! :D

That's sweet that you were able to tack it down and buy it back. I've bought back a good number of knives... well I should say, the ones that I was allowed to :). No worries or regrets to the happy owners that decided to hold on to them.

I need to track mine down. It was a #32 with a sheath i made.
I love this knife, cant remember why i sold it.

I have mine in a short spec ops combat master for now but I would like to get a nice leather sheath for it at some point. Probably once I get a mil overrun hg55 to fill it's place while said sheath is made

I have wanted an HG LE since I saw yours a couple weeks ago. Very nice!

Many thanks for the kind words. Good luck on the search! As I have said before I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if the timing was right on one being sold and I really want a mil overrun. Such great blades.

The HG55 is on my short list as well.

Looks like it may get rough in the trough if any show up. :)

Or, I'll take a few if RADs idea works out.
