The seax was a limited run, needed 10 or 12 confirmed takers ahead of time to get the kamis to make it worth their while. I etched them to pay for mine, as I was unemployed at the time. Dave K and Pen got the wood model and the sheath model ready and sent it over.
Some have said they wanted a bigger one (i.e., langseax), but I find this size to be utilitarian as a camp size knife, about 14inches OAL. If bigger ones were made, I think the whole design would hafta be revamped. I think a langeeax could be made of an HI tarwar or Tibetan Sword, just file the point and clip to the right shape...
As you can see from Sweet's pic, they are hardened right down to the needle point.
