HI Site Vs. DOTD?

I have gotten all of my blades through the DOTDs. I originally came to HI through the website, where I placed an order for a particular khukuri. After I had spent some time in this forum, I refined my order to include certain specifications. Later, a blade matching these specs came up on a DOTD and I got it there (so I canceled the original order). Although I know that ordering from the website is always an option, getting a blade through a DOTD is more rewarding, perhaps because there is a challenge involved and the additional effort required makes a "done deal" email from Yangdu that much sweeter. It's part of the ritual.

Excuse my ignorance here, but is DOTD = "Deal Of The Day", and if so, is this a site or a particular section inside the HI site?
