High quality, reasonable cost knives from Russia, China, etc.

Hanwei (and its related brands) have always impressed me. The swords are well respected, but their traditional knives are sleepers. This is especially true when you consider the low prices they get closed out at or sell for on the secondary for many times.

this knife is made in the likeness of this knife.

the Chinese sweatshops will do anything to make sales even if its slightly similar. its great that it functions decent for its price, but I don't like when these companies try and replicate something already done for sales. granted in this situation its only the skull "idea" and the skull and design of the knife are very different. this is one of those examples where its not a huge deal. please guys don't support those other replicas that copy knives exactly or close enough that its marketing sales based on the real thing for their own gain. no matter how well people say they function, that's just not right plus the people who say that never had the real thing and won't point out any if the issues on purpose.

You've got to be kidding me, that knife looks nothing like the other, your telling me no one can put a skull on their handles now?

That is a cucchiara knife, I think that is his deal, and it was licensed out and paid for. Kinda like people licensing the spyderco hole...

I'm so impressed with my Cicada that I went ahead and ordered another model from Maxace, the "Corvus".

I'll post my initial impressions once i receive it but if it's anything close to the Cicada.... HOMERUN!

you obviously didn't read a thing I said. wow to your reaction, just wow. now go back and use your eyes and read and comprehend what I said.

and yes its using its likeness. if the original wasn't made then CH would not have any skull on there knife, because that's where they got the idea from.

but here's quoted what I said about it. since you didn't read it at all...

And if someone didn't use Ti first then no one else would have...

I see your point.
So if Sebenza wasn't made there would not be 90% of higher end folders because they all use titanium frame-lock.
