higo traditional japanese knives

I for one have always been intrigued by their simplicity and edge keenness. These two are hands down two of the sharpest knives I own.

Nice duo!
I just ordered a tanto higonokami with Black SS handles from Knifecenter, at a great price!
Can't wait!

Well I got inspired, and for the price i had to try one. One on the way from japan for $20 plus shipping.

Ordered mine from jp also. It took FOREVER to get here. I wanna say it was four weeks or so.

^ Agreed on several points. Mine serves as a desk knife to be both ornamental and to cut open letters and packages. Mine is fairly friction-tight with opening and closing, but I still wouldn't carry it in the pocket all the time. Terrific stationary cutter.

If you guys are into Higonokami Knives check out Darriel Caston's work. His knives are just insane and he is a really cool guy.

Update- Along with my Walter Wells folder, my new higonokami tanto is my favorite folder.
I waited way too long to try this folder. Do not wait.

I'm glad you like it!
I cannot read Japanese.
I hope to see a large version of the tanto.
