The wife and I hiked to the top of Enchanted Rock today.

Great pictures, I've got to hike up there before about 15 years ago. Once you make it up top you can literally see for miles.
 
Texknifefan ,It had been about 15 years for us too.But we made it. Cooked some wild rice soup back at the

picnic spot.It was very windy up on the top.But you can see a long ways up there.

Ps. I have to say your wife doesn't look over impressed with the soup on the last pic, LOL !
 
Did you go into the rock climbing area between the two "rocks"? It's really cool in there with tons of people climbing up boulders on nice weekends. I love Enchanted Rock. It offers incredible views. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks jdk1 ,No there was a big group of rock climbing clubs there today. Maybe next time we can do that.
 
Thanks Bryan. It's .6 miles from the start to the top.It gets steap in a spot or to but we did not try to run up like the young kids did.:D

Been there twice. Interesting place. It looks a lot more developed now than it did in the 70's. Enjoyed the pictures and the reminder of Llano area.
 
Howdy Hawkeye....E-Rock is one of my favorite places! did you crawl into the liitle cave like spots on the top?? Fun place to go, even more fun on a week day when no one is there....glad ya had some fun times!
