Hiking Combo's ?

For over 35 years my hiking combo has consisted of a chopper like a Skachet or a hatchet, a stout knife, and a folding knife.

It used to be

later it has evolved into;

or for the more traditional approach

Reeves hatchet, Fiddleback Nessmuck knife, Buck Stockman

I am a bit more of a knife whore than I used to be so the fixed blade knife may be BRK&T Northstar one trip, a BRK&T Nebula the next, or a Fiddleback Nessmuck if the mood strikes. Likewise I may switch out the BRK&T Mini Axe for a restored and re profiled Norlunds or even a Gransfors Bruks Wildlife Hatchet.

But the idea has remained the same for decades long before I ever heard of Nessmuck.
