Himalayan Imports Picture Thread

Merry Meet Mark,
I was wondering if the handle on the blade that you posted on 8/17 that had the Yin/Yang symbols was a stock handle, or was it custom? I would love to get a Sgian Dubh with a black handle with that type of inlay.

Thanks in Advance for the Info!

And Yes----- it's TRUE...He doesn't have to ask permission to buy any of the blades, and of course, I don't have to ask permission to buy them either! :)

You should talk to my girlfriend. Tell her a blade obsession is perfectly healthy.

Howdy,
Those handles (there were two of those knives, my son has the other) came from HI that way. I do believe that those were made to go with the YCS (Yvsa Cherokee Special) but were sold seperately on a DOTD for some reason.
Just ask Yangdu, I'd bet she could have the same inlay done on a Sghain Dhu, and it would surely look fantastic.

I know you people have new kukris that need to have pictures taken, don't let the thread die! :D

Anyway..some new ones I picked up. Bonecutter by SGT. Khadka and Seax by Get.

The craftsmanship that goes into some of the knives is outstanding..it a real shame there so hard to get in England...I will have to take a few pics of mine and contribute to the thread...Keep the pics coming:thumbup:

That is a Kerambit. They show up in the Deal of the Day (DOTD) from time to time, though I haven't seen one in a while. Can't remember how much, but HI's prices are always reasonable.

I'm familiar with the Karambit, and the usual filipino knife styles I was figuring that there was some special term that they used for it.

Anyhow I thank you for the info and I'm going to be keeping my eyes peeled, I'm a avid collecuser of Bali's and Karambits so when I saw that I thought....Time for me to fill in that space in my drawer thats been empty.

WOW! First post & I'm drooling all over my keyboard! I've been in love with Khukuris for years & am getting ready to get my "first" REAL one. From all the beautiful workmanship I've seen so far, HI will get LOTS of my money..

Choosing from three so far. M43 18", AK 18", GRS 18".. I know for sure that I'll end up with all 3 anyway (and then some).. Thanks for posting all the great pics guys! Yall have some beautiful, functional works of art!
