History repeats itself...again

I did that with a rifle. Saw one on a hunting show and thought that would be a great rifle. After thinking, went downstairs and had it.

At my age I am thinking about what I have and I don’t want to leave my family to deal with it. Problem is there is just one more that I need. And another, and another……

To clarify one point, the Spyderco Southard and the Gayle Bradley are two that I did know that I had bought before but my overwhelming desire to just give them another try always seemed to win out over logic.
old saying “The heart wants what the heart wants “ was never more true then when looking at beautiful knives
so for some repeated purchases I wasn’t forgetful, just overly passionate about the knife

One way to help stave off spending is to have a friend like Jim to go and get the money if you need it, it will give you some time to think it over...if it ever shows up ;)
this scene is from the tv show Taxi where Alex falls off the gambling wagon and calls in to work to get someone to bring money from his locker,

I'm doing much better.

I passed on a myriad of knives in the past two days, being awake when they get posted and not jumping on them - Damascus small Sebenza, Damasteel Arno Bernard, a few Carothers knives, a LES GEORGE VECP button lock, and many more. I would have been the first "IN" for all of them 🤣

But I also jumped on a myriad of knives this week - a LynchNW exclusive Biblio XL in CF and gold hardware, a Quiet Carry Drift with knurled scales, and Drift Large satin blade black knurled scales, TW Price Dawn V2 PVD, GEC Urban Jack in Blue ESPL, blah blah blah..

Holy moly, Hackenslash has 600+ knives?

How does one store all that in the house?
That's why they call him Hackenslash. He earned the title.

One thing I'm doing this year is carrying each of my knives in a row (only have 10). I'm starting with one week each, then moving into 2 weeks each and going up. The point being that I won't enjoy all of them enough to keep carrying them for longer amounts of time. The ones I don't enjoy will get sold.

Maybe you can give that a shot.

And that guy was me, but turned out to be one that I didn't keep and Doc is taking it as a spare now.

And add to my problem, I have a new Benchmade Taggedout in bound, the last one I had was the orange one with CPM154, which I parted with, but this one has G10 scales and S45v blade, I'll see how long this one lasts...
