The Caliper Blue by Pivot. One of the less known knife companies is Pivot, who are to Kizer what WE is to Civivi. I'm not sure who in the Kizer brain trust decided to name a knife company after a mechanical part, to ensure the worst Google searches possible for their upscale brand, but that's kind of what they did. Then they compounded their mistake by calling it a Caliper. It's a beautiful marketing mistake, with S35VN 3.25” blade and a cobalt blue titanium handle. It's well milled, buttery smooth action, feels good in the hand, and I got it for half the price I'd expect to get it at. I'm not even sure if Pivot exists anymore, the way that Kizer has positioned itself with higher quality knives that make their old brand redundant. Pivot knives are well made but are going to be hard to find, other than as leftover stock at stores that also sell a lot of Kizer knives.
