Some of you guys have heard me talking about this project with Jake Hoback and he suprised me today with a lot of pictures!

This all started back in June. I wanted to do a Tanto Framelock, but if you know me I like my knives thick and overbuilt. I made my design and sent it to Jake and from there it all started. He made changes then I made changes. We kept making changes but this is how collaborations work. LOL!

I started with a 4'" blade but Jake got it down to 3.25". LOL!!! Jake and I are both short and stocky so we thought this fit! LOL!!!! The blade is .190 and the Ti is .190 it’s almost 3/4" thick! BEEFY!

The knife still has a way to go but I thought I would share the pics and post as we go.

Enjoy!

PS Its rolling on bearings :D

Tasty..same bearing on my solo v2. Blade would be killer with a hamon, dark tumble on the handles..wow

Looking good guys...I would prefer the blade not so wide and not a tanto. Basically like the shape of the other blade in the last pic. I forgot the name of that one. So...take the blade from that one and put it with the War Horse frame.

Wow! i'm really liking that! I agree on the dark tumble/hamon idea. Should be amazing when its done! Is it going to be individual bearings right (rather than an encased set)?

The bearings are encased. Just a different type than on the Terminators we did.

.195-.200 thick 6AL-4V titanium slabs
.197 thick CPM154CM blade
Carbon fiber back spacer
4 4-40 screws holding the frame together
internal 1/8 thick tungsten carbide stop pin
Bearing system
1/4 hardened pivot
Red tritium dial in the carbon fiber back spacer.
2 clips come with the knife, one for each side of the end.
Beef!

The next batch of these will come with a touch longer blade. Prob 3.75" or so and 3V. Jake will also come up with a easier to make clip system that doesn't involve 2 clips.
