I have been on both sides of the weight problem, and both sides have the same basic rules baring a medical issue. If you eat more calories than you burn you gain weight and if you burn more than you eat you lose weight.
Exercise will add muscle but only if you eat more food or start using supplements. To eat more you might consider seeing if you can at least cut back on the smoking before meal times as it kills you appetite (as do hot drinks like coffee). And it would be best to stop for a lot of reasons.
And as someone said just get on a balanced diet and get on at least three scheduled meals a day.
When I was losing too much weight it was because I was training 20 hours a week. The only thing that worked for me was to eat four meals a day plus hi carb protein drinks.
Now that I can train only 4 to 6 hours I’m just… well a hopeless cause.
